🇺🇸 D-DAY REMEMBRANCE, JUNE 6, 1944 🇺🇸
On this day in 1944, thousands of brave American soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the most heroic operations in history. Under relentless fire and impossible odds, they pressed forward with courage, duty, and a belief in a freer world.

D‑Day became a turning point in World War II and helped begin the liberation of Europe from tyranny. The sacrifices made on those shores were immense. Many never returned home — but their bravery changed the course of history.

Today, we honor the heroes of D‑Day.
We remember their courage, the families who waited for them, and the freedom they fought to protect. Their legacy lives on in every generation blessed by the world they helped shape.

May we never forget.
All Gave Some. Some Gave All.
Forever Honored. Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸

🌟 Memorial Day 2026 🌟

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Some gave all.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness built the foundation of the liberties we cherish every single day.

We owe them a debt that can never be fully repaid.

At Glacier Wellness, we are deeply grateful to our veterans, active-duty military, and their families. Your service protects the peace and opportunities we all enjoy here in Alaska and across our great nation.

Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your strength. We honor you today and every day.

If you’re a veteran or active military and need a moment to recharge, restore, or simply find some peace — our doors are open to you.

🕊️ Never forgotten. Forever grateful.

Do you know where you’re going in life?

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t choosing a direction—it’s finding the energy to move at all.

Watching the canals of Venice reminded me: life doesn’t always go in straight lines. And when depression or anxiety is weighing you down, even “simple” decisions can feel overwhelming.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, numb, or like you’re just trying to get through the day—there are more options than willpower alone. **NeuroStar TMS** is a non-medication treatment that can help some people with depression (and in certain cases, anxiety).

If you’re in Alaska and you’re curious whether you might be a candidate, we’re here to talk.
**Request a confidential consultation.**

The Basics & How It Goes Down

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) zaps quick magnetic pulses right to the prefrontal cortex—that mood-control spot in your brain. Think of it as jolting sleepy neurons awake. No pills, no anesthesia, totally non-invasive.

Sessions? Under 20 mins (often 3-10 with newer bursts), 5 days a week for 36 sessions total, done outpatient. Side effects are minimal—no weight gain or med fog. Maybe some scalp tingling at first, but it chills out quick.

Does It Actually Help? (Real Numbers)
Yeah, backed by fresh studies through 2026:
• 50-60% response rate, with ~30% hitting full remission (from NeuroStar trials + meta-analyses).
• Perfect for when 1-2 antidepressants flop. Check the 2023 JAMA Psychiatry meta-analysis—strong evidence there.

Give us a call! The Force is strong with Neurostar TMS!

May's Mental Health Awareness Month—and since it's May the 4th up here in Alaska (Star Wars day, anyone?), here's your nudge: taking care of your headspace is straight-up part of the mission. No matter how tough you are.

Look, even the strongest folks get days where their brain feels smashed in a trash compactor. If your family's dealing with stress, feeling wiped out, extra irritable, checked out, or just... off... you're not by yourself. And you don't gotta play lone Jedi.

Couple easy "use the Force" tricks for the fam:
• Quick dinner check-in: "What sucked most today? What was one solid win?"
• 10-min "walk around the planet" (yeah, bundle up—it's Alaska). Air + steps = reset.
• Cut yourself slack—no need to nail the full Kessel Run. Baby steps add up.
• If someone's in the weeds: "I'm here. We'll sort it."

Thinking about real help for anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma vibes, or crap sleep? Hitting up support ain't weakness—it's picking the smarter road.

May the 4th be with you... and may backup be with you too. Alaska folks—if you wanna chat with a pro, confidential, no BS—we got you.

PTSD in Alaska: It hits different when the nights are long and you’re carrying heavy stuff alone.

PTSD isn’t weakness. It’s your brain and body still running in survival mode long after the danger passed. A lot of veterans know exactly what I’m talking about—nightmares that won’t quit, feeling wired even when it’s quiet, snapping at people you love, or just wanting to disappear from crowds and conversations that bring it all back.

Here in Alaska, it can feel extra heavy. The long dark winters, the isolation, the miles between you and help… it makes it easier to just push through and say nothing. But that survival mode doesn’t turn off on its own.

We’ve got one of the highest veteran populations per capita in the country for good reason—JBER, Eielson, folks who came for the mission and stayed for the lifestyle. Oil, aviation, fishing,
construction, state and federal jobs… a lot of us built lives up here because Alaska fits the way we’re wired. But that same independence that served us well can also keep us isolated when we’re struggling.

If you’re a veteran, or you love one, and any of this sounds familiar—you’re not broken, and you’re definitely not alone.
We see you. And we’re here to help without judgment, red tape, or making you feel like a number.

Alaska can be an incredible place to live—wide open spaces, strong communities, and a lot of pride in taking care of your own. But it can also be hard on mental health, and you’re not alone if you’ve been feeling more depressed, anxious, or burned out lately.

Why mental health challenges can feel more common in Alaska
A few Alaska-specific factors can stack up over time:

❄️Long, dark winters (and disrupted sleep):** Less daylight can impact mood, energy, and motivation.
- **Isolation and distance:** Being far from family, friends, or services can make it harder to reach out early.
- **High stress + “push through it” culture:** Many Alaskans carry a lot and keep going—until it catches up.
- **Weather, seasonal work, and financial pressure:** Uncertainty and stress can increase anxiety and depression symptoms.
- **Limited access to care in some areas:** Waitlists and travel barriers can delay support.

What matters most
Depression and other mental health conditions aren’t a weakness—and they’re not a character flaw. They’re health issues. Support can look like therapy, medication management, lifestyle changes, or a combination—what matters is finding what fits *you*.

If you’re noticing any of these signs, it may be time to talk to someone
- Feeling down or numb most days
- Losing interest in things you used to enjoy
- Sleep changes (too much or too little)
- Irritability, anxiety, or feeling on edge
- Difficulty concentrating
- Feeling hopeless or like you’re “just not yourself”

You deserve support that’s confidential, professional, and judgment-free.**
If you’re in Alaska and you’ve been struggling, we’re here to help.
