rics and provide a team approach to care by having nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, and obstetricians on hand to serve you. This allows the Alaska Women’s Health PC to give comprehensive attention to clients during the entire pregnancy cycle, as well as childbirth. They are also specialists in diagnosing and treating infertility and reproductive issues. There are many ways to determine what the issue is, including taking a hysterosalpingography (X-ray) of the uterus and Fallopian tubes. It can take time to diagnose infertility issues, but they are committed to finding the underlying issue and offering solutions. Trying to act normal while a hot flash hits is a skill nobody talks about. 😅

You're in the middle of a conversation, a meeting, running errands, and suddenly you're overheating for absolutely no reason.

Perimenopause and menopause can bring a lot of unexpected moments like this. If you've found yourself carrying a fan everywhere, sleeping with one foot outside the covers, or constantly asking, "Is anyone else hot?" — you're in good company.

And while hot flashes are common, you don't have to just suffer through them. Our team is here to help you navigate this stage and explore options that work for you!

Pregnancy can make summer feel a little different.

Warmer temperatures, increased blood volume, and the extra demands of growing a baby can make hydration, movement, and rest even more important.

A few simple ways to support yourself this summer:
💧 Keep a water bottle nearby
🚶 Stay active with movement that feels good for your body
☀️ Take breaks in the shade or cool environments when needed
😴 Prioritize rest and recovery

Remember, pregnancy isn't the time to "push through." Listening to your body and giving it what it needs is one of the best ways to support both yourself and your growing baby.

What has been your summer pregnancy essential?

"Painful periods are normal."

For many women with endometriosis, that's where the story starts.

When pain is constantly normalized, it can make women question their own experiences and delay access to the care they deserve.

Pain that impacts your work, relationships, daily activities, or quality of life shouldn't be dismissed.

If you've been searching for answers, our team is here to help. 💜

As women, we hear a lot of things about our health.

"That's normal."
"Just give it time."
"That's what happens after kids."
"It's part of getting older."

This Women's Health Month, we're challenging a few of the myths that have been passed down for generations. Because when symptoms are brushed aside or normalized, women can be left wondering if they should speak up, ask questions, or seek care at all.

We're here to remind women that their concerns deserve to be taken seriously.

Swipe through to see which myths we're leaving behind 👋 ➡️
