✨ Brainspotting Reboot: Integration & Insight ✨

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the dedicated professionals who joined us on May 9th for the Brainspotting Reboot Workshop! 🧠💫

It was an inspiring day focused on returning to the heart of the model. Olya guided the group through a day of refreshing our skills, sharpening our clinical "wait space," and deepening our trust in the brain’s innate ability to heal.

Moving from theory into focused practice reminded us all of the power of presence and the transformative impact of the focused eye-brain connection.

To our participants: Thank you for showing up with such curiosity and intention. We can’t wait to hear how these refined tools breathe new life into your clinical work!

Trauma Recovery Tips

Tip 1: Get moving -Trauma disrupts your body's natural equilibrium, freezing you in a state of hyperarousal and fear. As well as burning off adrenaline and releasing endorphins, exercise and movement can actually help repair your nervous system.

Tip 2: Don't isolate - Following a trauma, you may want to withdraw from others, but isolation only makes things worse. Connecting to others face to face will help you heal, so make an effort to maintain your relationships and avoid spending too much time alone.

Tip 3: Self-regulate your nervous system - No matter how agitated, anxious, or out of control you feel, it's important to know that you can change your arousal system and calm yourself.

Tip 4: Take care of your health - It's true: having a healthy body can increase your ability to cope with the stress of trauma.

Trauma doesn’t just live in our thoughts—it lives in the body. Brainspotting helps uncover and heal the deeper layers that fuel anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm, so you can move forward with more clarity and ease.

Brainspotting involves keeping the eyes in a fixed position to access a specific “spot” in the brain, while EMDR uses gentle side‑to‑side eye movements to stimulate both hemispheres.

Both approaches are powerful bottom‑up therapies that work directly with the body and nervous system, helping people process trauma in a way that feels organic, grounded, and deeply regulating. They don’t require you to talk everything out — they help your system release what it’s been holding so healing can move forward from the inside out.
