This Thanksgiving, Anchorage Recovery Center staff — clinicians, case managers, behavioral health technicians and peer support came together to give back at the Henrey House and the Golden Lion Hotel. In collaboration with Henning Inc., we prepared and served turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, pies, and all the fixings to make sure everyone had a warm meal and a chance to connect.

Gratitude isn’t just a feeling, it’s a practice. When we pause to acknowledge what we have, we gain perspective, humility, and the energy to reach outward. Sharing a meal creates more than fullness, it builds community, dignity, and hope. This is how we can break isolation and remind someone they matter.

We are grateful for our team, partners, and everyone who showed up. Together we share warmth, uphold dignity, and remind our community that no one is alone.
