Update on Dr Price’s cancer, August 13, 2026

Well, he continues to fight every day.

Greg has completed his radiation treatments and is now receiving two chemotherapy injections every two weeks at our local oncology clinic.

Initially, the two new chemotherapy drugs were started at Moffitt Cancer Center, but Dr. Mann, Candace NP, and the staff at our local clinic have been incredibly wonderful in providing his treatment here.
Between the two we have had the most amazing care and cancer treatment.

The BEST news is that Greg just had his PET scan to check on the mass in his abdomen.

The PET scan exam showed no discernible, measurable mass!!!
His scan looks great!!! 🎉🎉We couldn’t be happier!!!♥️

Furthermore, he had an appointment today with Dr. Alsina from Moffitt Cancer Center, and she also believes that if his blood numbers look good next week, they can reduce the frequency of his chemotherapy injections. It will then be once a month!!

He is particularly grateful for this because the treatments are not easy on his body.

Despite the challenges, he consistently attends work 98% of the time.
He possesses an incredible determination and resilience, pushing through the difficulties with unwavering strength.
And mostly with his genuine laughter and smile. ♥️♥️
I know he truly loves his work and his patients. You all keep him going.

Cancer is hard and a draining experience, but the love, support, and friendship we receive from everyone helps us on our rough difficult days.

Update for Dr. Price’s cancer journey May 4, 2026.

Greg’s abdominal mass, which was initially diagnosed as a multiple myeloma cancer, has returned.

Greg had been experiencing abdominal pain, prompting me to take him to the emergency room. A routine CT scan revealed a mass, but we were uncertain whether it was a new tumor or the recurrence of the old one.

The Moffitt oncologist advised Greg to undergo cancer-related lab tests and a new PET scan.

The lab results showed elevated cancer markers, and the PET scan revealed multiple tumors in his abdomen.

Moffitt oncologist informed us that Greg will require radiation therapy for the masses and will also start two new chemotherapy drugs.

Radiation therapy will start tomorrow in Andalusia with the exceptional team of Dr. Mann, Dr. Patel, and Candice.

The chemotherapy drugs will be initiated as soon as insurance approves them. For the next few months, Greg can receive chemotherapy as an outpatient in Pensacola. If all goes well, he can then undergo chemotherapy locally.

Regarding his ability to see patients, Greg stated that as long as he feels well, he plans to continue working. He has done remarkable so far.

So that’s the latest update on Greg’s cancer journey:

It’s not what we had anticipated after Car-T therapy, but we will continue to face this cancer journey one day at a time.

Well, we just returned from our check-up at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. We are thrilled to share that Greg’s cancer numbers and scans look fantastic! The chemotherapy and Car-t appears to have been effective!

His blood work and bone marrow biopsy also look normal.

While his body scan will always show the bone lesions/fractures in his back, the mass in his abdomen is undetectable.

Due to the success of the treatment, they asked him to participate in a new study to help sustain his disease free state. I believe he has agreed to do so. If it helps his longevity or aids others in the fight against cancer, we want to do it.

Therefore, he will be receiving some schedule injections for a while. He will have intermittent appointments in Tampa for these injections, but they believe he will be able to travel back and forth for them. Yay!

As multiple myeloma is not able to be cured at this time, he will continue to have his regular check ups with Dr Mann (locally) and Moffitt intermittently.

As each of us encounters life’s challenges, Greg and I are grateful for God’s mercy and blessings. We are also immensely thankful for the prayers, understanding, and unwavering support we have received from everyone as we navigate the difficult journey of managing cancer.
