Congratulations to Melissa, a recent LOVED Award recipient and a Patient Care Tech who has been caring for our patients for 28 years 💙

Melissa was recently caring for a patient who was experiencing confusion but knew exactly one thing he wanted that day: a specific type of cake. Knowing how much the little things can mean, Melissa spent her lunch break tracking it down and bringing it back for him.

Her nominator says this isn't unusual for Melissa. She regularly goes above and beyond to fulfill small requests that bring comfort and joy to patients during their stay.

We couldn't be more grateful for the support from those around us 🫶

Ann Hall, President of the Victoria Guild of Ascension St. Vincent Anderson, presented a $50,000 check to hospital President Marion Teixeira and Foundation Director Nancy Anderson for renovations to the St. John's chapel.

The Guild also awarded 3 area graduating seniors with the Sister Maria Carmencita scholarship. From Lapel High School: Annaliese and Solomon, and from Frankton High School: Kalli. Congratulations to these graduates as they further their education and pursue careers in healthcare.

The update reflects what we now know. This condition involves hormones, metabolism, mental health and more, not just the ovaries.
