It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Skye Borgman, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a brief battle with cancer. Surrounded by the family who loved her unconditionally, Skye left this world knowing only love, comfort, and peace.
Skye’s life was a remarkable example of resilience, forgiveness, and unconditional love. As a young puppy, she was sold and given away twice before she was a year old. She was eventually abandoned and spent three heartbreaking weeks faithfully waiting on the side of the road for the person she loved to return. Although we will never know everything she endured during those early years, her story changed forever when she was rescued by Friends for Paws.
After arriving at her foster home, it quickly became clear that Skye had already found where she belonged. Her foster family knew they could never let her go, and she became a cherished family member but also an ambassador for animal rescue, helping inspire others to open their hearts to animals in need.
Skye had a gentle soul and a nurturing spirit. She adored every animal that came through her home and became the devoted foster mom to countless abandoned kittens, offering them warmth, comfort, patience, and unconditional love until they found families of their own.
