Forrest Joyful Imel, 92, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026, at Countryside Manor Health & Living Community in Anderson, just one day after celebrating his 92nd birthday. Born on October 17, 1934, Forrest was a lifelong resident of Anderson and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Forrest graduated from Anderson High School in 1953 before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. On July 16, 1955, he married the love of his life, Patricia L. Imel, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned many decades.

Forrest was employed by Delco Remy in Anderson, where he worked faithfully until his retirement.

A man of deep and abiding faith, Forrest dedicated much of his life to serving the Lord and his church. He spent many years teaching Sunday School and serving in various ministries. He was a longtime member of Central Wesleyan Church and later attended Anderson First Church of the Nazarene. Above all else, Forrest cherished his family. He found great joy in gathering with loved ones and celebrating their milestones. One of his greatest blessings was becoming a grandparent, and he was delighted to welcome and spend time with his great- granddaughter.

Forrest is survived by his son, Scott (Donna) Imel; grandchildren, Hannah (Daniel) Gilchrist and Noah (Abby) Imel; great-granddaughter, Delilah Imel; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Ronnie J. Ward, 76, lovingly known as Ron, passed away peacefully at home on October 16, 2026, surrounded by the people he loved most. After a difficult battle, Ron was able to spend his final hours exactly where he belonged — at home, with his family by his side.

Ron was a hardworking man with an even bigger heart. He dedicated 35 years of his life to Pepsi Cola before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and friendships. He believed in working hard, loving harder, and always taking care of the people who mattered most.

If you knew Ron, you knew his signature peace sign. It was his way of saying hello, goodbye, or simply letting you know he was thinking of you. It was a small gesture that became such a big part of who he was, and one that his family and friends will forever cherish.

Ron shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and countless memories.

He was a proud father to his children, Brandon (Ellyn) and Jenny (Craig), but one of his greatest joys in life was being a papaw. He loved his grandchildren, Gavin, Carson (Graycn), Ward, Mikey, Porter, Cole, Brock, Elli, and Tinslie, more than words could ever express. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and nothing made him happier than spending time with them.

Fredrick "Fred" P. Haney, 81, of Anderson, passed away on October 15, 2026, at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on April 8, 1945, in Anderson, Indiana, where he resided all of his life.

Fred graduated from Anderson High School with the class of 1964.

He was a job setter for Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, and retired after 30 plus years of service.

He was a member of the UAW 663 and the Madison Masonic Lodge #44, F. & A. M.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diana (Goul) Haney; children, Melissa Day, Eric (Malissa) Sands, Parry (Tina) Sands, and Donna Jo (Shane) Richards; grandchildren, Bre Helms, Heather Sands, Jacob Day, Mike Gardner, Mary Edwards, Bret Gardner, Julie Sands, and Dakota Richards; and nine great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is his sister, Pat Murray, and several nieces, nephews, and life-time friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Shelby Haney; and eight siblings.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN.

Services will follow visitation at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Sondra Sue Green, 83, of Anderson, passed away on October 15, 2026, at Community Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. She was born on May 15, 1943, in Campbell, Missouri, a daughter of, Lois Nadine Malin and Melvin W. Johnson.

Sondra graduated from Anderson High School in the class of 1961.

She devoted much of her life to being a homemaker, a role that brought her great joy and fulfillment. Her greatest passion was creating a loving, comfortable and welcoming home where her family always felt cherished and cared for. Throughout the years, she also served as a secretary for several churches and enjoyed sharing her creativity through cake decorating.

She was a faithful member of South Meridian Church of God, where she served as the head of the food ministries group for many years. Through her willingness to serve and her love for others, she made a lasting difference in the lives of many and shared her caring spirit with her church family and community.

Sondra is survived by her two sons, Mark (Cristi) Green and Jeffrey (Leah) Green; grandchildren, Jared (Ashlynn) Green, Jaycelin (Logan) Sides, Logan Green, Jacob (Madelyn) Green and Ian Green; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Charli, Cali, Wyatt, Jaxon, Parker and Beckett; sister, Brenda Seitz; brother, Pat (Linda) Johnson; sister-in-law, Sue Crouse; brother-in-law, Danny (Jerri) Green and several nieces and nephews.

Carol Ruth Tucker, 95, of Fishers, passed away on October 15, 2026, at Hamilton Trace Assisted Living in Fishers, Indiana. She was born on December 24, 1930, in Elgin, Illinois, to her parents, Ruth and Otis Cripe.

Carol graduated High School in Marengo, Illinois at the age of 14. Following graduation, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Cornell College in 1950, before continuing her education at the University of Illinois, where she received her master’s degree in Statistics in 1953. While attending graduate school, she met the love of her life, Ron on a blind date, the two were married on June 7, 1952 and were together until Ron's passing in 2014.

She cherished her years as a homemaker, finding great joy in raising her children and filling their home with love, warmth, and care. Later in life, she shared her knowledge and love of learning with others, working as a substitute teacher and spending several years as a collegiate tutor at Harper College.

She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and continued solving them even to the age of 95. She also had a love for cooking and good food. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching tennis, cheering on Chicago’s sports teams, and supporting her beloved University of Illinois Fighting Illini.

Jackie Bruce Thompson, 62, of Anderson, passed away on October 13, 2026, at his home surrounded by family in Anderson, Indiana. He was born on February 20, 1964, in Anderson, Indiana, to his parents, Carlene Carter-Thompson and Billie C. Thompson

Jackie attended Highland High School.

He attended Park Place Church of God every Sunday for worship, and when he could not attend service, he watched the service via Livestream.

He faithfully served our country in the United States Army from 1981 to 1984. During his service in the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Germany. Jackie was honorably discharged as an E-4.

Following his service he worked for Kirby Risk, security for various companies, and retiring from Park Place Church of God.

He was a member of the 40/8. Jackie loved to attend any and all Veteran events at Maplewood Cemetery. He enjoyed watching college basketball, college football, the Pacers, and the Colts. When sports was not on, you could find him watching war movies and old western movies.

Nancy Lee Kirks Bradford, 89, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on October 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born on December 29, 1936, in Olathe, Colorado, to Bert and Thelma Kirks. She graduated from Olathe High School and attended Anderson College before serving her community through a variety of roles.

Throughout her working years, Nancy was employed by Warner Press, Indiana Bell, and Anderson Community Schools. She faithfully served as the secretary at Lindbergh Elementary School and Chesterfield Elementary School, before retiring as Treasurer of Highland High School. Her professionalism, dedication, and warm spirit made a lasting impact on teachers, students, and families throughout the Anderson community.

Nancy shared a beautiful and enduring marriage with her beloved husband, James Bradford. On December 8, 2026, they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary, a remarkable testament to their love, commitment, and faith.

A devoted Christian, Nancy lived her life grounded in her faith and love for the Lord. Alongside James, she worshipped faithfully at several congregations throughout the years, including Park Place Church, Eastside Church, North Anderson Church and Madison Park Church of God. Most recently, they attended Chesterfield Community Church of God, where they continued to enjoy fellowship and spiritual growth.
