Established in 1982. We are a full service Oncology/Hematology clinic, caring for patients with cancer and blood disorders. Serving Upstate South Carolina and Northeast Georgia. Currently staffed by 2 locally-trained, board-certified medical oncologists, Dr. John Doster and Dr. Jamie McClain and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs), Sarah Brendle, PA and Meg Kelley, FNP. We have an on-site lab and on-site infusion center to optimize patient convenience. A medical provider is always on-call and available, 24/7. New patients always accepted. Consultations available by referral at anytime.

Our office is aware of the cybersecurity incident which is affecting AnMed. While we are grateful that our office has been only minimally affected, we also share in the disbelief of these attacks and their consequences on patient care. We hope and pray for full restoration of services as soon as possible.

While our network and electronic medical record (EMR) system are fully operational, our telephones are tied into the AnMed system. Accordingly, we have established two (2) temporary phone lines to allow for patient communication to continue as normal. Those numbers are: 1) 864-314-5820 and 2) 864-940-2523. Our Navigating Care portal continues to function normally for messaging.

There should be no disruption to our services as it relates to office visits and medical treatment/infusions. However, for those patients who need radiation treatment(s), we will help coordinate with Blue Ridge Radiation Oncology/AnMed Radiation Oncology for referrals to nearby radiation departments in Upstate SC and Northeast Georgia until radiation services at AnMed can resume.

Our primary goal is to ensure patient care continues as seamlessly as possible until all disruptions have been resolved. We will support AnMed Health during this process as we all endeavor to provide the best care possible for the Anderson community and surrounding areas. Anderson Area Cancer Center will be open normal business hours tomorrow. The only impact we experienced is our phones. We will be contacting patients to confirm appointments.

Due to the threat of inclement weather Anderson Area Cancer Center will operate on a 2 hour delay Monday, January 26, 2026. The office will open at 10:00 am. If you need assistance before 10:00 am the on call provider will be available. Please be careful and stay safe.

Due to dangerous icy roads, Anderson Area Cancer Center will open at 12:00 on January 22 for patients receiving injections or pump disconnects.
