Our residents and team members had a blast walking over to Harter House to enjoy some delicious food from the Spudz Dude food truck! Good food, lots of laughs, and a fun little outing right next door. ❤️

Somehow, the evacuation of Vermillion Place feels like it happened yesterday and forever ago all at the same time.

We've been busy doing exactly what we hoped we'd be doing with getting our residents home, settled and back into the familiar routines we all missed so much. But getting back to normal doesn't mean we've forgotten the people who helped us get here.

Today, we want to recognize a few more of the helpers who showed up for our Vermillion Place family:

And to our incredible families who brought flowers, dropped off snacks, checked on our team, offered encouragement and supported us through it all - THANK YOU! 💚

Some helped in big, visible ways. Others quietly stepped in and asked, “What do you need?” It all made an impact and we haven't forgotten.

There’s no place like home and we remain incredibly grateful for everyone who helped us find our way back to ours.

Bob is so many things to us at 1019 Vermillion Place — a true servant of God, our amazing Resident Council President, our resident jokester, and most importantly, someone who brings so much joy and laughter to our community. ❤️

Bob, a resident at our community, has a way of bringing smiles wherever he goes.

Known as the resident jokester, Bob has spent his life sharing joy with others through his humor, music, and the kindness he shows to those around him.

National Dog Day 🐾

We have a confession to make… 1019 Vermillion Place is definitely full of dog people! 🐾💚

Our four-legged friends come through our doors with team members, families, and friends, and somehow they always seem to know exactly who could use a little extra love.

There are belly rubs, plenty of smiles, treats are probably involved, and you can almost guarantee someone will say, “Bring that dog over here!” 🥰

We talk a lot about making moments matter, and sometimes those moments walk in on four legs with a wagging tail. 🐶

A huge thank you to Ultimate Canine for bringing these sweet puppies to visit us at 1019 Vermillion Place! 🐾💚 You brought so many smiles, cuddles, and happy moments to our residents. We’re so grateful for you! 🐶

Another one of our helpers. 💚

Today, our thank you goes to the Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department.

They were there when our Vermillion Place family needed help during the flooding and their service to our residents didn't end when everyone came home.

While we work to have our new fire panel installed, members of the Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department continue to provide fire watches around the clock to help keep our residents, team and community safe.

That means 24 hours a day, these volunteers continue to give their time and show up for our Vermillion Place family.

To DJ Retz JR, Tanner Scales, Ella Humphries, Mackenna Wright, Luke Neff, Axander Sparks, Lacee Sparks and every member who has answered the call, stood watch and continues to show up: thank you. We are incredibly grateful for your service and your commitment to our community.

We hope you'll join us next month for our Homecoming Celebration so we can thank you in person, too.

The helpers. 💚

Over the last week, we saw exactly what Mr. Rogers was talking about.

When our residents needed help, people showed up and sometimes before we even knew exactly what we needed.
