Brayden drove himself to Bridges of Hope. He said the moment he pulled in, he wanted to turn around and leave.

He stayed. Here is what he said afterward.

"Bridges of Hope is an amazing place. I came here on my own and the moment I got here I wanted to leave so I can drink. So I changed my mind and it changed my life. The program is very good and you learn a lot about yourself."

We see that moment a lot -- where someone almost leaves but does not. It usually turns out to be the most important decision they will ever make.

Our staff has been doing this work in Indiana for a long time. Some of them have been through recovery themselves. That is not something we advertise heavily, but it matters to a lot of the people who come through our doors.

We are based in Anderson, Indiana.

Indiana has been hit hard by the opioid crisis. That is not news to most people around here, but it is worth saying plainly.

Fentanyl is now showing up in things people do not expect -- pills that look like prescriptions, co***ne, even fake Xanax. There is almost no margin for error. And quitting certain substances cold, alcohol and benzos especially, without medical professionals involved can be genuinely dangerous.

Medical detox exists to handle exactly this. If you or someone you know is at that point, call us. We will be straight with you about what the situation looks like.

This is from Shaun, who went through treatment at our Anderson facility.

"This was my first time in treatment. I was worried about it. But the staff is amazing -- they actually care about you and your sobriety. It taught me the proper tools to use in my recovery."

We are not going to oversell what we do. Shaun said it better than we could.
