The Garden House of Anderson hosted a very special ceremony where we honored our Veterans last week. Our gentlemen were presented with a special handmade quilt from the Quilts of Valor program to thank them for their service and sacrifice. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our veterans: Mr. Arthur Boggs, Mr. Casimer Kaminskas, Mr. Charles Roberts, and Mr. Ronald Coblens. We would like to thank our partners at Hospice of the Upstate for helping us organize our program as well as Quilts of Valor for their presentation.

The residents at The Garden House of Anderson were very happy to spend a fun day with the youth from Anderson Christian School recently. The Student Council took the time to get to know the residents, lead our exercise class, and we enjoyed a competitive game of Family Feud. Everyone also had alot of laughs when the teens sang karaoke for us. Thank you to our friends at Anderson Christian School for a great day and we can't wait until your next visit!

As we wrap up the month of April, we wanted to share some of our intergenerational activities. The residents at The Garden House loved having our friends from Kiddieland Learning Center for an Easter Party. Everyone was also amazed by the talent of Anderson School of Dance as we celebrated National Dance Day. Our residents really light up when engaging with the children and youth in our community!

The Garden House of Anderson was so excited and to welcome Spring at our April Spring Jubilee! 🪻🌷 We enjoyed yummy appetizers as well as enjoyed dancing to hits by our friends The Magic Band. The residents at The Garden House of Anderson had a lovely meal at their annual Carnations and Candlelight event. Everyone enjoyed the strolling violinist which added ambience to the evening. We also had fun getting to know our married couples a little better. Love and friendship was definitely in the air! ❤️🎻🎶
