Donald C. Sowers, Jr

Donald C. Sowers, Jr., of Whitestown, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Don was the son of Donald C. Sowers, Sr. and Sally Sowers. He grew up in Kittanning and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Music, a passion that would remain with him throughout his life.

Don spent much of his professional career in medical device sales, working alongside surgeons in the operating room and assisting with implant procedures. Later, he followed his calling to serve families in the funeral profession, working at Lane Funeral Home in Ohio before joining Flanner Buchanan and Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services in Indianapolis. To those who had the privilege of working with him, Don was more than a colleague. He was family.

A devoted lover of music, Don proudly played baritone with the Zionsville Concert Band, sharing his talent and enthusiasm with fellow musicians and audiences alike.

He is survived by his son, Brian Sowers; stepson, Jonathan Schecodnic; former wife, Suzanne M. Sowers; special friend, Yvonne Seitz and her husband David; siblings Brenda, Russell, Jerry, Kim, Michael, and Marie; his beloved fur baby Winston; and his many friends and teammates at Flanner Buchanan and Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services.

Don will be remembered for his gift of storytelling, quick wit, strong work ethic, and generous smile. His warmth, humor, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Dreama Kay Lamb

Dreama Kay Lamb, 68, entered the gates of glory on August 5, 2026. Born on May 20, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of Robert and Phyllis Guenthenspberger.

Dreama graduated from Highland High School in 1976, where she proudly played the bagpipes. Following graduation, she began a career that spanned more than 40 years with Warner Press. Through hard work, dedication, and exceptional leadership, she advanced to become Manager of the Information Technology Department.

A devoted Christian, Dreama lived her faith through kindness, compassion, and service to others. She had a passion for oil painting and found great joy in camping, fishing, and traveling, especially to Mesick, Michigan. Dreama was known for her feisty spirit, bright personality, and one-of-a-kind personality. She brought warmth and light wherever she went and touched the lives of countless people.

More than anything, Dreama cherished time spent with her family, grandchildren, and friends. Her love, encouragement, and unwavering support will be remembered always.

Dreama is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Timothy Lamb; her son, Ryan Hornback; her mother, Phyllis Guenthenspberger; her brothers, Dana (Debra) Blankinship and Dave Guen+12; her cherished grandchildren, Norah and Timmy Hornback; best friend and sister in-law Regina (Joe) Pagano; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Guenthenspberger, and her brother, Darryl Blankinship.

Dreama's family and friends will forever remember her unwavering faith, generous heart, adventurous spirit, and the joy she brought to every gathering. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love lives on in all who were blessed to know her.

A visitation will be held at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services on Thursday August 13th, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm.

Janice Maxine Flory

Janice Maxine (Langley) Flory, 98, stepped away from her temporary life into eternity with Jesus on August 3, 2026.

She was born on February 6, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Samuel and Mabelle (Wisehart) Langley. She attended schools in Cleveland, later graduating from Anderson High School and continuing her education at Indiana Business College.

Janice married Carl W. Flory, and together they started a family. She went on to work at St. John's Medical Center for 48 years as a Senior Payroll Clerk, a position she greatly enjoyed. Janice loved reading, traveling, and working in her yard, and she cherished time spent with her family. She also had a special love for dogs and animals of all kinds.

Janice attended Madison Park Church of God in Anderson for many years. She loved and trusted God and Jesus Christ throughout her life.

She is survived by her two sons, Timothy M. Flory and Thomas C. Flory; her grandchildren, Kelly (Mark) Comer of Greenwood, Michael (Chris) Flory of Anderson, Jennifer (Tony) Murray of Decatur, and Jeffrey (Jessica) Flory of Avon; and her great-grandchildren, Trevor (Mandy Holloway) Flory, Bryce Flory, and Drew(Paris) Flory of Anderson, and Langley Murray of Decatur; as well as great-great granddaughter Skylar June.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter-in-law, Sue C. Flory; her beloved aunt, Cora Wisehart; as well as several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Private memorial services and burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson Christian Center or to a local animal shelter in Janice's memory.

Susan "Luanne" Kendall

Susan “Luanne” Kendall, 68, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on July 26, 2026, at Community Hospital.

Luanne was born on April 19, 1958, in Rushville, Indiana, to William Kendall and Patricia Craig. She attended Madison Heights High School and continued her education with studies in architecture.

Nothing was more important to Luanne than loving others. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued. People were drawn to her warmth, humor, and genuine love for people. Over the years, she cared for many as if they were her own family. Known affectionately as Big Nana, Momma Lu, and Aunt Lu, to many. Countless family members, friends, neighbors, and young people found support and encouragement in her home, which was always open to those in need. She created a safe space for many “adopted” children and nothing brought Luanne greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren.

She was quick-witted, loved to laugh, and delighted in making others laugh as well. Her sense of humor was unforgettable. She lived life fearlessly and lit up every room she entered. Luanne enjoyed bingo, bowling, traveling, and taking cruises. She attended Florida Station Church of God and served as a director of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Bowling Association board.

Luanne is survived by her daughters, Jessica (Doug) Doan and Rhonda Scott; grandchildren, Chase Doan, Alex Doan, Mia Lebarre, and Noah Leonard; brother, Bill (Sherry) Kendall; cousin raised as her sister, Star Craig; best friend, Lynne Edwards; and countless honorary nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family members whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Kendall and Patricia Craig.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 30th, 2026, from 5pm to 6:30pm at Florida Station Church of God 1045 W 375 N, Anderson, IN 46011. The memorial service will start at 6:30 pm with Doug Doan, Jerry Hilligoss, and Greg Allen officiating, with a dinner to follow.

There will be additional services in held North Carolina and Tennessee. Specific location, dates and times to be determined.

Luanne’s legacy lives on in the laughter she inspired, the love she freely gave, and the countless lives she changed simply by opening her heart and her home. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Sharon Kay Logan

Sharon Kay Logan, 74, of Knightstown, Indiana, passed away on July 23, 2026.

Born on April 11, 1952, in New Whiteland, Indiana, Sharon was the daughter of Eugene and Wilma Logan. She graduated from New Whiteland High School and spent her working years serving others. Sharon worked for Pinkerton Security for several years before joining the Knightstown Café, where she became a familiar and friendly face for many years until her retirement.

Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved listening to Elvis Presley, watching races, fishing, completing word searches, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted fan of Steve Harvey, the Game Show Network—even when the episodes were repeats—and the Food Network. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, watching people and cars pass by, and spending time with her beloved grand fur babies.

Above all else, Sharon cherished her family. Becoming a grandmother was one of her proudest moments. She was overjoyed to receive the title of great-grandmother before her passing. Those who knew Sharon described her as caring, sweet, and always willing to help. Whether assisting in the kitchen, tidying up around the house, she showed her love through acts of service.

Sharon is survived by her children, Michael (Julie) McIntosh and Rebecca Bender; brother, James Logan; grandchildren, Emma (Mikey) Carper, Kaylynn McIntosh, and Shannon McIntosh; great-granddaughter, Payton Carper; and best friend, Shirley Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Wilma Logan; sister-in-law, Debra Logan; and former husband and friend, James McIntosh.

Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Terry Lee VanHorn

Terry Lee VanHorn, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 19, 2026.

Born on January 2, 1956, in New Castle, Indiana, Terry was the son of Ernest and Leona VanHorn. He attended Lapel High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army.

Terry was a hardworking man who spent many years providing for his family. Throughout his career, he worked for Beavers Material, owned and operated his own business, Terry's Concrete, and later retired from Fields Rubber.

In his free time, Terry enjoyed attending NASCAR races, cookouts with family and friends, fishing, and mud bogging in his Jeep. He was a true family man and a homebody who found his greatest joy in being surrounded by those he loved.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life and married for nearly 44 years, Lynn VanHorn; his children, Terry Lee VanHorn Jr., Brandy (Dave) Williams, Roger Lee VanHorn (Heidi Jemane), Mindy VanHorn (Bobby Simonds), and Brandon VanHorn; his grandchildren, Isabella, Zeke, Roger Lee Jr., and Braxton; his brother, Leroy VanHorn; his sister-in-law, Susan (Rick) Flowers; along with many extended family members and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Leona VanHorn; his daughter, Marcie Wendy Yvonne VanHorn; and his in-laws, Pearl Flowers, Bud Flowers, and Naomi Ledbetter.

Services are Friday August 21, 2026 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Servies in Anderson, IN. Visitation will be 11am-12:30pm and the funeral service 12:30 with burial to follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel, IN.

Roger Lee Corbin

Roger Lee Corbin, 78, of Anderson, IN, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026.Roger was born on February 27, 1948, in Greensburg, KY, to Walter Corbin and Delsie Redman. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1969.Following his military service, Roger built a successful career in automobile sales, working for Gaddis Chrysler and Weidner Chevrolet for many years until his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, friendly personality, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.Roger was a faithful member of Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He found great joy in fishing, camping, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, and, above all, spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor, and the many memories he created with those he loved.Roger is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Corbin of Anderson, IN; his children, Daveon Corbin of Anderson, IN, Christopher Corbin of Yorktown, IN, James (Leslie) Corbin of Muncie, IN, and Gayle McNeal Steinbarger (A.L.) of Anderson, IN; his brothers, Richard (Cheryl) Corbin of Ingalls, IN, Larry Corbin of Anderson, IN, Randy (Mona) Corbin of Cookeville, TN, and Rick (Jenny) Corbin of Pendleton, IN; his sister, Barbara (Dave) Troutt of Livingston, TN; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Corbin and Delsie Redman; his stepmother, Romona Corbin; and his brothers, Jeff Corbin and Steve Corbin.The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Gentiva Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort, and kindness they provided to Roger and his loved ones during his final days.
