Joan Alma Allison

Joan Alma Allison, 83, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026.

Born on April 30, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Joan lived a life defined by dedication, compassion, and a deep love for learning and family. She devoted an extraordinary fifty years to teaching English, shaping the minds and lives of countless students. Her passion for education was further reflected in her pursuit of a master’s degree from Ball State University.

Joan found great joy in many simple pleasures. She was an avid sports enthusiast, cheering faithfully for the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Fever, and enjoying all types of sporting events. She had a green thumb and took pride in planting and tending to her flowers. Her voice could often be heard lifted in song as an active member of her church choir, where she found both fellowship and spiritual fulfillment.

Above all else, Joan was devoted to her family. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother who treasured time with those she held dear with. Known for her warmth and storytelling, Joan delighted in sharing her life experiences and memories, leaving lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to listen. She also cherished traveling and the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories.

Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bryce L. Allison, and her parents, William and Winnie Thielking.

She is survived by her four sons: Aric (Cindy) Allison, Michael (Dawn) Allison, David (Christy) Allison, and James (Hailey) Allison. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kaitlyn Smith, Zackery (Jacqueline) Allison, Kortney Salgado, Winnie Allison, Bryce Allison, Matthew Allison, Cameron Zion, Landon Rothell, and Elijah Rothell. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Issac, Tayleighahna, Scarlett, Penelope, Dahlia, Yaretzi, Adalyne, Finn, and Aleighna. She is further survived by her brother, Irvin (Connie) Thielking, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Joan’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and love. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched as an educator, mother, and friend. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will occur Monday June 8 at 12PM with a service to immediately follow at 1PM at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services Anderson.

Steven Ellis Bloyd

Steven Ellis Bloyd, 57, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on May 25, 2026. Born on March 25, 1969, in Anderson, he was the son of Anthony James and Judith Ellis Bloyd.

Steve was a lifelong resident of the Anderson area and a graduate of Anderson High School, Class of 1988. Following high school, Steve attended a recording workshop in Ohio, where he earned certification in audio recording. After returning home, he worked in furniture sales and lawn care before pursuing his own recording studio and became a valued member of the local music community, sharing his talents through audio production and live sound engineering for area bands.

Known for his sweet soul, warm personality, and easygoing nature, Steve made friends wherever he went. He was musically inclined, especially enjoying playing the guitar, while also while spending time at the piano and drums.

Steve also found great joy outdoors. He loved fishing, golfing, camping, mushroom hunting, and spending time on any outdoor adventure with his family. His beloved dogs, Abby and Kobe, were his constant companions and best friends.

Steve is survived by the love of his life of 33 years, Denise Bloyd; children, Stevie Bloyd, Kilyn Bloyd, Ellie Bloyd, and James Bloyd; grandson, Braycen Bloyd; and his nieces and nephew, Heather (Scott) Roberts, Hailey Bloyd, and Robby Bloyd; He is also survived by his aunt, Janet (Smith) McGehee and her children Michael (Emily) and Robby (Norma) of Saint Louis; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Bloyd; mother Judith Bloyd; and his brother, Michael Bloyd.

Steve will be remembered for his kind heart, love of music, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gayle Margaret Redder

Gayle Redder, 79, of Anderson, IN, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, surrounded by family.

Gayle was born, December 24, 1946, in Fremont, MI. She grew up and attended Hanover Horton High School where she was a competing gymnast, and loved fashion.

Gayle would go on to marry Richard Redder on December 7, 1965, and settled down in Toledo, OH. She was the mother of 13 children, a grandmother, and great grandmother. At every opportunity Gayle was a mother first. She pursued a career in harness racing, as a groom, with her husband, but her true joy and passion in life was being a mother. Also knitting, she loved to knit for friends, family, and teachers. She was the center of her family. Holidays were filled with family, love, and laughter because of the home she built. She leaves behind a deep love of togetherness and family that lives on through all of her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and her daughters, Linda Marie and Pamela Sue. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Bob), Kim, Deborah, Barb (Ryan), Amanda (Ian), and Sandy (Josh); her sons, Pete (Heather), James, John (Lynsea), Rick (Savannah), and Mark (Allison); 19 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Gayle’s love, humor and presence will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th, 2026, from 12PM-2PM at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 504 W 9th Street, Anderson, Indiana 46016. Burial services will follow visitation at 3PM at Maplewood Cemetery, 200 College Drive, Anderson, IN, 46012.

Linda Louise Hunt

Linda Louise Hunt, 71, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. She was born on October 20, 1954, in Lynn, Indiana, to Henry and Rebecca Munshaur.

Linda grew up in Anderson and graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1972. At just 13 years old, she met the love of her life, Larry Hunt, who was 15 at the time. The two became best friends, balancing each other perfectly—Larry was the steady and constant to Linda’s orneriness. They were married on June 3, 1972, and shared a lifelong partnership rooted in love, laughter, cuddles, hugs, and kisses.

A dedicated homemaker, Linda expressed her creativity in countless ways. She was crafter, gardener, writer, drawer, and seamstress. She was a proud member of a gardening club that cultivated spaces designed to attract wildlife, including the majestic red-tailed hawk. When Linda was not creating beauty, she was likely bowling or going for a drive. She taught bowling on Saturdays at Cooper’s Sports Bowl and was very proud of her team of high schoolers that made it to the state championship.

Linda was also a gifted writer and poet, with one of her poems being published—an achievement she cherished. She lived life with energy and enthusiasm, known for her feisty personality, dark sense of humor, and love for jokes. Warm, friendly, and approachable, Linda had a way of lighting up every room and turning even the simplest moments into memorable adventures.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Larry Hunt; her daughters, Michelle (Steve) Jackson, Patricia (John) Wilhoit, and Karen Ratliff; her grandchildren, Chelsea Hunt, Linsey Hunt, and Tala Anderson; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella (Sophia) Hunt, Meredith Donahue, and Bruce Donahue. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary (Dan) Ogilvie, Karen (Mark) Mace, and Amber Bennett.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Viola Rebecca Munshaur.

Linda’s legacy is one of creativity, love, laughter, and a life lived fully. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Services will take place Wednesday May 27, 2026, at the pavilion at Mounds State Park - 4306 Mounds Road Anderson IN 46012. Visitation will take place from 11 to 12PM immediately followed by a service.

Kenneth "Two Barrel" Porter

Kenneth “Two Barrel” Porter, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 71, after an extended illness.

Kenny was born on January 31, 1955, in Anderson. He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1974 before enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served from 1976 to 1981. During his time in the Navy, he was stationed in San Diego and Long Beach and had the opportunity to travel along the West Coast and abroad, including visits to Japan and China.

After his military service, Kenny discovered his passion for photography. He became a well-known photographer at Anderson Speedway, where his talent earned him the title of Photographer of the Year. His involvement in the racing community extended beyond photography, as he also worked on cars and supported many racing teams at the speedway.

Kenny’s love for music led him to work in lighting and sound for various musicians, including Eddie Money and Duke Tomato. One of his favorite stories to share was meeting Rod Stewart—sharing a beer and even playing a game of soccer together.

Kenny had a deep appreciation for nature and animals, and he enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a dedicated member of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) for over 20 years.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Porter; mother, Mary Pauline Williamson; stepfather, Robert Williamson; brother, Richard Porter; as well as many beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his sister, Paula Geschwind; best friend, Dale (Dawn) Phillips; Aunt Joann Couch; nephew, Robert (Robin) Burton; and his nieces, Angel (Jason) Black, Amanda Collins, and Amy (Jesse) Shook.

Kenny will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, creative talent, and love of music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Andrew Clifford Pratt

Andrew Clifford Pratt, 25, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on May 8, 2026. He was born on November 17, 2000, in Anderson, Indiana, to J. Lance Pratt and Tammy Pratt.

Andrew was known for his strong will and determination, often described as stubborn or difficult, but always in a way that reflected his independence and unmistakable personality. He had a sharp sense of humor and was well known for his snarky, joking remarks that kept those around him on their toes. Andrew did things his own way and could be particular about how things were done, traits that made him uniquely himself.

He had a deep love for video games and spent countless hours enjoying them. Andrew also adored his feline friends at home. Andrew was a graduate of Anderson Preparatory Academy, where he participated in bowling and tennis, activities that reflected both his competitive spirit and his desire to challenge himself.

Andrew was preceded in death by his father, J. Lance Pratt; his brother, Nathaniel Andrew Pratt; his grandparents, Carolyn and Jerry Williams; and his grandfather, Paul Pratt.

He is survived by his loving mother, Tammy Pratt; his siblings, Joseph Pratt and Heather Hoover; his grandmother, Kathryn Pratt; and his aunt, Amy (Harley) Davis, along with extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.

A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, May 23, from 2PM to 3:30 PM with a short service, at Fifth Street United Methodist Church, located at 1124 W. 5th Street, Anderson, Indiana. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and honor Andrew’s life.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses or to Ambassadors for God’s Creatures at 708 W. 8th Street Anderson, IN 46016.

Michael James Frazee

Michael Frazee, 74, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind a lifetime of love, devotion, and treasured memories with those who knew him best.

Michael shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda Frazee. Together they built a family that remained the center of his world throughout his life. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Lesley Dickin and husband Clark Dickin, Matt Frazee and wife Sylest, and Travis Frazee and Christina White.

He was a deeply proud grandfather to Joey Best, Elliana Frazee, Jaycie Best, Myah Frazee, Cody Dickin, and Tyson McKinney, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Birdie.

Michael grew up in Anderson, IN. He attended St. Mary’s school and worked at Westside Aquarium. He went on to work for Prairie Farms, and after many years of dedicated service, Michael retired. In his retirement, he found great happiness working in his garage, where his love for woodworking allowed him to create with patience and care. He treasured simple moments most — family cookouts, laughter shared around the table, and time spent with the people he loved.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Marie Frazee, Tim Frazee, David Frazee, as well as extended family.

Michael will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his hardworking spirit, his gentle heart, and the steady presence he brought to the lives of others. The memories he created and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in all who knew him.

The Frazee family would like to say a special thank you to Community Hospital Hospice. Specifically for the thoughts and prayers from Erin, Shannon, and everyone. As well as to Michaels’s friend Joe Norian. Michael looked forward to you stopping by each day.

In accordance with his wishes, Michael will be cremated and no services will be held.
