**We're hiring MT-BCs in the Indianapolis area of Indiana.**

$52,000/yr starting - loads of benefits

There's a lot going on in Indiana music therapy right now. Bet you've heard ! - Waiver service caps, medicaid denials, changing expectations, and plenty of uncertainty about what comes next.

We're navigating those challenges too. BUT we're ALSO continuing to grow, expand our programming, and invest in our team. It's the whole YES, AND situation.

PlainSong has spent the last 10 years building relationships with our communities, advocating for our profession, and creating opportunities for music therapists to do meaningful work. We're incredibly proud of that, and we're not planning to slow down.

We're also pretty particular about who joins us. We have high expectations, a strong team, and a lot of plans for the future. We're looking for clinicians who want to be part of all three.

This Indigenous Peoples' Day, we're reflecting on the relationship between music, healing, culture, and the history of our profession.

Music and healing have existed across cultures long before music therapy became a formalized healthcare profession. Yet the history of music therapy is not separate from the colonial systems that have privileged Western knowledge while marginalizing other ways of understanding health, healing, and well-being.

Honoring Indigenous peoples means more than celebrating cultural traditions. It means recognizing Indigenous sovereignty, respecting community-specific knowledge and protocols, and asking difficult questions about whose perspectives are centered in our profession.

At PlainSong Music Services, we believe meaningful care requires continued learning, cultural humility, and a willingness to examine the systems in which we practice.

Today—and beyond today—we encourage our community to listen to Indigenous voices, learn from Indigenous-led scholarship and work, and reflect on how we can contribute to a more equitable and accountable field.

Learning is a beginning. Accountability requires action.
