This is one of those days I look forward to all year.

It feels a little like being invited to someone’s house—sauna, cold plunge, good food, hot tea, fire, conversation, and absolutely no need to rush through any of it.

There are sauna events… and then there’s Banya Fest.

This is my favorite sauna day of the year—and one of those Minnesota things I wish more people knew about.

On October 3, Banya House brings Slavic banya tradition to their private property in Prior Lake: steam, cold plunges, venik whisking, massage, Slavic food, tea and fire.

And this year, you can stay overnight.

Camp. Sauna. Eat. Sit by the fire. Sleep under the stars. Wake up and have breakfast here. No rushing home.

It feels less like a wellness event and more like stumbling into a little piece of Eastern Europe in Minnesota.

If you love sauna, cold plunge, nature, good food and experiences that feel genuinely different—this one is for you.
