As a midlife woman, I’ve spent enough years thinking I need to try harder, do more, or wait for the perfect time to get “back on track.”
At 54, I know better.
So here’s what I’m intentionally leaving behind this fall:
⏰ Waiting until Monday.
Why Monday? One good choice today counts. I’m done with the all-or-nothing thinking.
🍔 Eating whatever is convenient, just because it’s in the fridge.
I’m busy too, but I KNOW how much better I feel when I actually fuel my body well. A little planning makes healthy eating so much easier.
👗 Saving the "good clothes".
For what?! Life is happening TODAY. Wear the clothes that make you feel confident now.
🏝️ Feeling guilty after enjoying vacations or weekends.
Enjoying yourself is not “falling off track.” A healthy lifestyle includes vacations, dinners and weekends. Enjoy them, then get back to the habits that make you feel good.
😣 Saying "I’ll start when things calm down".
I’m a mom, wife and business owner. Things are not calming down. 😂 My habits need to work with my actual life.
🥦 Over complicating nutrition.
Protein. Fiber. Fat. Repeat. Midlife nutrition does not need to be complicated to work.
📈 Believing I need to do more.
I think I need more, but I actually need consistency. After all these years, my perfectionist brain is FINALLY starting to understand that.
This fall, I’m choosing simple, consistent habits that help me feel strong, energized and confident in midlife. 🤍
What are YOU leaving behind? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. 🍂
