For many women, painful menstrual cycles are often dismissed as a normal part of life. But for those living with endometriosis, the pain can be severe, disruptive, and impact nearly every aspect of daily living. Endometriosis is a chronic condition that affects millions of women worldwide, yet many go years before receiving a diagnosis. Increasing awareness and understanding can help women recognize symptoms earlier and seek appropriate care. We met with Dr. Rumsey from Cameron OB/GYN to learn more about endometriosis and how it can impact women’s health.

As Cameron Health reflects on decades of growth and transformation, Patti Brown, Cameron’s Quality Improvement Specialist, has made a lasting impact on quality, patient safety, and process improvement that continues to shape the organization today. Beginning her career at Cameron in 1981, Patti helped lead major advancements in patient care, infection prevention, employee health, quality systems, and organizational improvement for more than 40 years. Her leadership played a key role in achievements including Top 100 Hospital recognition, 5-Star designation, successful DNV surveys, and the development of many quality processes still used today. Known for her mentorship, collaboration, and guiding principle, “Don’t let perfect get in the way of better,” Patti’s legacy extends far beyond systems and outcomes. Please join us in recognizing Patti Brown as the first-ever recipient of the Quality and Process Improvement Award. In honor of her lasting impact, this award will now permanently be known as the Patti Brown Quality and Process Improvement Award.

This year, eight graduating seniors from Angola High School, Hamilton Community Schools, and Prairie Heights Community School Corporation were awarded scholarships as they pursue careers in healthcare. On Senior Health & Fitness Day, we celebrate the importance of staying active, healthy, and engaged at every stage of life. Regular movement, preventive care, social connection, and healthy habits all play an important role in maintaining independence and overall well-being! Today, we also had the opportunity to visit the residents at Cameron Woods, where they were staying active, doing their exercises, and keeping moving. It was inspiring to see their energy, dedication, and commitment to healthy aging in action! Here’s to healthy aging and the many seniors who inspire us every day with their strength!
