In recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, we are sharing the story of the Yager family and their daughter, Emma Lindsey.

October is especially meaningful to the Yager family, as it marks both Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and Emma’s birth month. Although Emma was born sleeping, her story continues to live on through the love of her family and their willingness to share her life with others.

Caitlin reflects on the compassionate care and support provided by Cameron Health’s birthing team during one of the most difficult times in her family’s life. Their impact is an important part of Emma’s story, and a reminder of how much compassion, understanding, and support can mean to families experiencing unimaginable loss.

Today, we remember Emma and honor all the babies gone too soon and the families who carry their memories in their hearts. By sharing their stories, we can help break the silence surrounding pregnancy and infant loss and remind families that their babies will never be forgotten and that they are not alone.

Measles cases have been reported in surrounding counties, making it important for our community to stay informed about this highly contagious virus and the steps we can take to help prevent its spread.

Measles is a viral illness that spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Symptoms typically include a high fever, cough, runny nose, red and watery eyes, and a rash that usually begins on the face and spreads to the rest of the body. At Cameron Health, protecting our patients, visitors and Cameron co-workers is a priority. If you are concerned about a possible measles exposure, please call your healthcare provider before visiting a medical office, urgent care, or emergency department. Staying informed and taking preventive steps can help protect you, your family, and our community.

What a wonderful day for a great cause! The 3rd Annual Cameron Health Foundation Empowering Women Luncheon and Purse Auction brought our community together for an afternoon of connection and support for women’s health.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, and helped make this event possible. Your support helps strengthen the Cameron Health Foundation Women’s Health Fund, providing resources to support women in our community with access to important health screenings, education, prevention, and care.

Together, our community has helped the Cameron Foundation raise $29,500 through the purse luncheon, t-shirt sales, and outright donations - and the month is not over yet!

Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of women in our community. We are already looking forward to next year!
