We have experience in the treatment of addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment issues and personality disorders. Our counseling can be obtained via online resources or tele-health (online video.)

Monique Maldonado holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern California Seminary, a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Illinois State University in education and is a certified Substance Abuse Counselor and a Licenses Mental Health Therapist. Additionally, she has over 8 years of experience incounseling. Kristin Boyd holds a Master's in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and is a certified Substance Abuse Counselor and a provisionally Licensed Mental Health Therapist. Melinda Crane holds a Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling and is a Licesned Marriage and Family Therapis; she is also certified in Substance Abuse Counseling. We take WELLMARK, Aetna, Optum, Cigna, Medicaid, Flex cards. Please message for an appointment.

Let your breath be the first word that you say.

Rather than allowing your ego to switch on the fight or flight response, notice when you are becoming dysregulated in a conversation. Before you fight or flee take a gut breath and exhale three times. This keeps you in your executive functioning brain (prefrontal cortex). Then you will be able to clearly consider and respond authentically.
