I believe that every child deserves to be heard, and I’m passionate about helping kids find their voices—however that may look for them. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Montevallo in Alabama. I’m a licensed SLP in Iowa and hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Over the past eight years, I’ve worked with children in a variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient therapy centers, and school systems. Most recently, I spent two years as an Assistive Technology Specialist, further developing my expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). My specialties include working with children who use AAC, those with articulation and speech sound disorders, and autistic and neurodivergent individuals. At Speech Now Therapy Center, my goal is to create a space where all families feel safe, welcome, and supported. I know that communication is deeply personal, and no two journeys look the same. That’s why I take an individualized, evidence-based approach, always centering each child’s unique strengths and needs. I believe that parents and caregivers are essential partners in the therapy process. Your goals for your child matter, and I work closely with families to ensure that we’re on the same page—because your goals are my goals, too. Whether we’re focusing on first words, speech clarity, or alternative ways to communicate, I want therapy to feel collaborative, effective, and meaningful to your child’s daily life. Outside of work, you can usually find me spending time with my fiancée and our pets, curled up in a hammock with a good book, or out in the garden. I love being outdoors, blasting Taylor Swift, and embracing the joy of everyday moments.
