Having somewhere to be matters.
Lunch with a friend.
Church on Sunday.
A volunteer commitment.
Coffee every Wednesday morning.
A class you enjoy.
Dinner with family.
Something on the calendar that makes you think, "I'm looking forward to that."
As we age, some of these routines can quietly disappear. Driving changes. Friends move away. A spouse dies. Getting somewhere takes more effort than it used to.
And sometimes, while everyone is paying attention to medications, appointments, meals, and safety, an equally important part of life gets overlooked.
What does this person have to look forward to?
Connection doesn't require a packed social calendar.
Sometimes it's simply having somewhere to be, something meaningful to do, and someone who will notice when you arrive.
