Wash those greens and berries

I am always telling you (my patients) to eat too many vegetables. I stand by that. However, as we are dealing with a current outbreak of Cyclosporiasis in southeast Michigan, PLEASE WASH THEM.
Cyclosporiasis is a diarrhea illness acquired by eating dirty produce. It cannot be transmitted directly from human to human. The current culprit produce has not been identified, but previous outbreaks have been tied to things like boxed or bagged salads, fresh berries (raspberries, etc) and herbs (cilantro).
