These little princesses had a big bippity boppity time this week at Princess camp! ✨👑 💖
They had visits from Tiana, Jasmine, Snow White, and Moana! They also crafted up crowns, wands, mirrors, bracelets, pink princess dough and more! Such a wonderful time!

SUPER HERO CAMP was a blast this week! Check out some of the fun they had!!!

Elizabeth Bonker, a non-speaking autistic student at Rollins College, delivered the commencement speech for the graduating class of 2022 using AAC technology.

Elizabeth communicates by typing with the support of a text-to-speech device and was selected by her fellow valedictorians to address the graduating class. During the speech, she spoke about service, communication, and the importance of recognising value in every person.

She told the audience:
“God gave you a voice. Use it.”

Elizabeth has said that learning to type transformed her ability to communicate and access education. She now advocates for greater communication access for non-speaking autistic people through her nonprofit organization, Communication 4 ALL.

For many people watching online, the moment was a powerful reminder that communication does not always look the same.

Let them be bored! 🙌🏼

Researchers have found that constant stimulation is reshaping how children manage their emotions. Studies in psychology and neuroscience reveal that when kids rarely experience boredom, they miss chances to develop self-soothing skills, creativity, and internal focus. Continuous entertainment trains the brain to expect nonstop input, making quiet or idle moments feel uncomfortable or even threatening. Over time, this reliance on constant stimulation is associated with higher anxiety levels and diminished emotional resilience, highlighting the importance of letting children experience boredom as a tool for mental and emotional growth.
