True stories from Hijama Glory 🤗
WHEN PAIN WALKS IN… AND RELIEF WALKS OUT
Three Hijama Glory Patient Stories
Over the years, I have seen people walk through my door feeling as though pain has taken control of their everyday lives. Some struggle to lift an arm. Some can barely turn their head. Others walk slowly and cautiously because every movement hurts.
One of the most rewarding parts of performing Hijama is seeing how a person’s movement can change after a session.
PATIENT STORY #1 — “I CAN RAISE MY ARM!”
A patient came in experiencing significant shoulder discomfort and stiffness. Raising the arm overhead had become extremely difficult, and even ordinary movements such as reaching for something on a shelf were uncomfortable.
Before beginning, we assessed the patient’s movement and discussed the areas of discomfort. Hijama was then performed around appropriate areas of the upper back and shoulder.
After the session, we reassessed the same movement.
The patient slowly began lifting the arm.
Higher.
Then higher.
The difference in mobility was noticeable, and the patient was amazed at how much easier the movement felt.
Sometimes you don’t realize how much pain has limited your life until you can move comfortably again.
PATIENT STORY #2 — “I CAN TURN MY HEAD AGAIN!”
Another patient arrived with severe neck stiffness. Turning the head from side to side was extremely uncomfortable, making everyday activities—including driving and looking over the shoulder—difficult.
Before treatment, the patient’s neck movement was noticeably restricted.
Hijama was performed in carefully selected areas of the upper back, shoulders and surrounding neck region based on the assessment.
Afterward, we checked the patient’s range of motion again.
The patient turned the head to one side…and then the other.
What had been a guarded, painful movement before the session had become noticeably easier.
The smile said everything.
Being able to comfortably look left and right may sound simple—until pain takes that ability away.
PATIENT STORY #3 — “LOOK AT ME WALK!”
One of the most memorable situations is seeing someone arrive struggling just to walk comfortably.
A patient came in moving slowly and relying on support because discomfort through the lower back, hip and leg made each step difficult.
We assessed the patient before beginning and performed Hijama at appropriate points based on the areas of concern.
Following the session, the patient stood up.
Then came the real test: walking.
The steps appeared easier and more confident. The patient was able to walk with less reliance on support than when entering the appointment.
Seeing someone experience that kind of change in movement is exactly why I believe in looking after the body before discomfort becomes overwhelming.
HIJAMA ISN’T ONLY FOR WHEN YOU HURT
Many people first discover Hijama because something hurts. But Hijama has also been traditionally used as part of an ongoing wellness and self-care routine.
Regular Hijama sessions may help support:
• Relaxation and a sense of well-being
• Healthy circulation and local blood flow
• Recovery from everyday muscular tension and physical activity
• Reduced feelings of muscle tightness and stiffness
• Flexibility and comfortable movement
• Stress management and relaxation
• Body awareness and mindfulness
• An active lifestyle and recovery routine
• Overall wellness and preventative self-care habits
Regular maintenance also gives you an opportunity to pay attention to your body. Instead of waiting until discomfort significantly interferes with your movement or daily activities, make body care part of your wellness routine.
DON’T WAIT UNTIL YOUR BODY IS SCREAMING FOR ATTENTION.
Your car receives regular maintenance.
Your home receives regular maintenance.
Your body deserves maintenance too.
Hijama should complement—not replace—appropriate medical evaluation and treatment. New, severe, persistent or unexplained pain, weakness, numbness, difficulty walking or loss of movement should be evaluated by a qualified healthcare professional.
