As we celebrate National Pharmacy Week, we're recognizing National Pharmacy Technician Day and the Altruix technicians who prepare prescriptions, coordinate with providers, answer questions and help solve the day-to-day issues that keep pharmacy operations moving.

Their knowledge and attention to detail are an important part of the support Altruix provides every day.

Mental Illness Awareness Week and World Mental Health Day are reminders that mental health care depends on people working together.

Reducing stigma, improving access, and supporting continuity of care all require providers, families, support staff, and community partners to stay connected around the individuals they serve.

This week, we recognize the behavioral health professionals and organizations doing that work every day.

Altruix is proud to support those teams as a pharmacy partner focused on behavioral health, substance use disorder, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Prevention is not only about stopping substance use. It is also about making sure treatment and support are there when someone is ready to take the next step.

For individuals with substance use disorder, that next step may include medication-assisted treatment, ongoing pharmacy support and a care team that can help keep treatment moving.

A pharmacist’s job does not end when the prescription is filled.

At Altruix, pharmacists do much more than dispense medications. They help individuals access hard-to-find therapies, answer provider questions, work through insurance barriers, and coordinate with care teams when something needs attention.

On World Pharmacists Day, we are celebrating the pharmacists across Altruix who bring expertise, persistence, and compassion to that work every day.

Safe care depends on the details, especially for individuals managing complex or long-term treatment.

Clear medication information, coordinated refills, accurate administration, and communication across the care team can all help reduce avoidable gaps and errors.

At Altruix, we work alongside behavioral health, IDD, and substance use disorder providers to make medication management safer, clearer, and easier to navigate.
