📚The first few days back to school can bring irritability, stomachaches, shutdowns, resistance, sleep changes, or emotional outbursts.

👀Look beneath the behavior before immediately correcting it.

Happy 4th of July from New Heights Counseling Services 🇺🇸

Today may look different for everyone — family time, cookouts, travel, rest, or simply trying to catch your breath.

Whatever your day looks like, I hope you take a moment to slow down and enjoy something simple.

Rest counts.
Joy counts.
Connection counts.
A quiet moment to yourself counts, too.

What’s your 4th of July vibe this year — cookout, rest, family time, or staying inside where the AC is?

You may need support if you keep saying:

“I’m fine, I’m just tired.”
“I just need to get through this week.”
“I don’t even know where to start.”
“I’m overwhelmed, but I don’t have time to deal with it.”
“I’m used to handling everything by myself.”

Sometimes support is not about having a crisis. Sometimes support is having a place to breathe, sort through the clutter in your mind, and figure out your next step.

Therapy can be a space to pause, process, and feel a little less alone in what you’re carrying.

What phrase have you caught yourself saying lately?

I have 2 session spots available before I’m out of the office this week🤍

If you’ve been meaning to schedule, reschedule, or get back on the calendar, this is your gentle nudge to go ahead and grab a spot while it’s available.

Sometimes we keep telling ourselves, “I’ll deal with it later,” but later can turn into another week of feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or carrying too much alone.

Support does not have to wait until things feel unmanageable.

New Heights Counseling Services will be out of the office July 1–5 and will return July 6.

Schedule here: www.newheightscs11.com

Before the week begins, take a moment to reset.

Ask yourself:

What do I want to carry into July?
What am I ready to release?
What support do I need?
What would help me feel more grounded?

A reset does not have to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with one honest check-in and one small step toward peace.

Take a few quiet minutes today to pause, reflect, and choose what you need for the week ahead.

Protecting your peace may look like:

Taking a pause before saying yes.
Setting a boundary without overexplaining.
Choosing rest without guilt.
Limiting conversations that leave you drained.
Asking for support when you need it.

Peace is not passive. Sometimes it requires intentional choices.

What is one choice you can make this weekend to protect your peace?

The Mom Mental Reset Group is open and meets on Thursdays at 8 PM.

This is a relaxed, no-pressure space for moms who are seeking support, clarity, and a safe place to unpack what they have been carrying.

Come comfy. Wear your pajamas. Sip your tea. Bring your journal. Join from wherever you can find a quiet moment.

Because this is an open group, participants are welcome to invite a friend who may benefit from this space.

Before stepping into a new week, take a few quiet minutes to check in with yourself.

Ask yourself:

What drained me this week?
What helped me feel supported?
Where did I ignore my own needs?
What do I want to do differently next week?
What would help me feel restored?

Reflection does not have to be heavy. Sometimes one honest answer is enough to help you move forward with more clarity.

Write down one thing you are releasing and one thing you are choosing for the week ahead
