In recognition of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, we celebrate Jackie, our beloved Funeral Home Therapy Dog.

Jackie was adopted by our Managing Funeral Director, Ryan Scharfencamp's family, in October 2018 from the C**n Rapids Animal Shelter, with the special purpose of providing comfort to families and the community at our funeral homes, during their time of bereavement.

Jackie holds the distinction of being the first Therapy Dog to join the staff at a funeral home in the Twin Cities metro area. Jackie is a certified Therapy Dog with Helping and Healing Paws of Buffalo, MN.

Here are some fun facts about Jackie:
- Birthday: January 16, 2018
- Breed: Mix of lab, retriever, collie, super mut, and surprisingly, 10% wiener dog!
- Favorite Treats: All treats!
- Favorite Toy: A cheerful yellow duck.

When not at work: playing fetch, going for walks, camping, car rides, pestering the two cats she shares a home with and most of all, watching her favorite human, Elsie playing football.

Jackie looks forward to nothing more than going to work to bring comfort families that call upon us. Join us in celebrating Jackie and the joy and comfort she brings to families and our community! 🐾💖

🧡 We are proud to support Team Bailey and the Blood Cancer United Big Climb! 🧡

Today, our team took on the challenge to climb for the survivors, those currently battling blood cancer, and in memory of those we have lost. Together, we stand with their families and raise awareness for this important cause.
