The estrogen patch shortage just became personal.
Today I found out I can’t get my refill.
As someone who has spent months talking about menopause, research, and women’s health, this hit differently when it became my own reality.
For many people, hormone therapy isn’t about chasing youth. It’s about being able to sleep, think clearly, work, care for our families, manage anxiety, reduce hot flashes, and simply feel like ourselves again.
A medication shortage isn’t just an inconvenience. It can mean symptoms returning unexpectedly, disrupted treatment plans, and weeks of uncertainty while women call pharmacy after pharmacy looking for answers.
If you’re affected too, you’re not alone.
A few questions:
* Have you been able to get your estrogen patch?
* If not, where are you located?
* Has your prescriber recommended an alternative while you wait?
The more we share what’s happening, the clearer the picture becomes. Women’s health deserves the same urgency and reliability as every other essential area of healthcare.
I’d love to hear your experience. Let’s help each other navigate this together.
