Serving our community alongside our deputies, first responders, clergy, and so many others is a privilege I don’t take lightly. July is National Bereaved Parents Month. 🤍

There are no words that can fully describe the pain of losing a child. It is a grief that changes every part of a parent’s heart and life. This month, we pause to remember the precious children who are deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.

Please take a moment to lift these parents in prayer.

Heavenly Father,

Today we pray for every mother and father carrying the unimaginable weight of losing a child. Wrap them in Your loving arms when the days feel too heavy to bear. Remind them they are never alone, even in their deepest sorrow.

Bring peace where there is heartache, strength where there is weariness, and hope where grief feels overwhelming. May cherished memories bring comfort, and may they feel Your presence in both the quiet moments and the difficult ones.

Help us, as family, friends, and neighbors, to love them well—not just today, but every day. Teach us to remember their children by name, to honor their lives, and to walk beside these parents with compassion and grace.

Until the day they are reunited, may Your promise of eternal life bring comfort to their hearts.

Amen.
