Summer is often associated with rest, freedom, and a slower pace. We picture long days, vacations, outdoor gatherings, and more time to enjoy the people and activities we love. Yet for many people, summer is not especially restful at all. It can be one of the busiest seasons of the year.
Work responsibilities continue, children may be home from school, travel plans require coordination, social calendars fill quickly, and ordinary routines are often disrupted. Even enjoyable activities can become exhausting when they are packed too closely together. The pressure to “make the most of summer” can add another layer of stress, especially when every weekend seems booked and every warm day feels like an opportunity that should not be wasted. https://brinkleybrown.com/summer-self-care-staying-balanced-during-a-busy-season/
