We treat a lot of athletes at Performance Family Chiropractic, but you don't have to be an athlete to be treated at our office. Basic activates like watching the world cup for a long time can be bad for your spine. Get adjusted to keep things moving!
The FIFA World Cup™ is underway, and millions of us are spending hours cheering on our favorite teams. Our latest survey, conducted with The Harris Poll, uncovered an interesting contradiction.
Here are a few findings that stood out:
• 90% of World Cup viewers expect to sit for an hour or more while watching matches.
• 63% say they are likely to remain seated for extended periods without getting up, moving, or stretching.
• 53% of American adults say they always or often look at their phones while watching TV, increasing the risk of "tech neck."
• 66% of World Cup viewers say watching the World Cup inspires them to become more physically active.
Use halftime as an opportunity to stand up, stretch, take a short walk or simply reset your posture. Small moments of movement throughout the day can go a long way in supporting your spine, musculoskeletal system and overall well-being.
