Reflecting on a meaningful Memorial Day…. The Bona Fide Brass Quintet performed patriotic songs and reminded us of the importance of Memorial Day. The Color Guard for the American Legion Post 124 presented the colors and led the Pledge of Allegiance before our Memorial Day Service-honoring those that have served our country and are no longer with us. Rev. Jody Branch offered words of reflection and beautiful music with America the Beautiful and Amazing Grace. A presentation with photos of loved ones including the branch served and rank achieved was followed by a poem written by our very own Marie Gervasi. After the service, residents enjoyed refreshments and time to reminisce about their loved ones. Thank you to all that served our country and to the family members they left behind. Let us all remember that freedom is not free.
