This weekend we had a beautiful reminder that growth happens both in the work we do and in the relationships we cultivate along the way! 🌼☀️

We are grateful to for giving the Calm Waters Wellness team the opportunity to spend time together picking zinnias, slowing down, and simply enjoying each other’s company. The day was made even more meaningful as we celebrated the upcoming arrival of our newest little Calm Crew member - Baby Hyppolite! The care our team extends to our community is the same care we extend to one another, and for that, I am truly thankful. Congratulations to the Hyppolite family - we can’t wait to meet your sweetest new addition! 🌸👶🩵

April is AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH - a time to celebrate neurodiversity, increase understanding, and continue building spaces where individuals of all abilities feel seen, supported, and valued. 💜

At Calm Waters Wellness, we are committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care for neurodivergent children, teens, and adults - and we’re excited to introduce ISABELLA SIMONE, one of our therapists who specializes in this work.

Isabella earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida. She is passionate about working collaboratively with clients to create meaningful goals, offering a safe and supportive space where individuals can challenge themselves and find stability in their lives. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on understanding each person as a whole while identifying and addressing stressors step by step.

She specializes in supporting children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and life transitions. Isabella uses a solution-focused, trauma-informed approach and integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Art Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. She also incorporates creative approaches - including walk-and-talk sessions - to help clients reflect on their experiences, stay grounded in the present, and move toward their goals.

If you or a loved one are looking for support, we’re here to help. You deserve care that understands and honors who you are.

We often think of therapy as something that happens through conversation - but what if healing also happens through movement?

SOMATIC THERAPY is gaining attention for its focus on the mind-body connection - helping individuals tune into physical sensations, release stored tension, and process experiences in a different way. Instead of only “talking it through,” this approach recognizes that stress and trauma can live in the body, not just the mind.

At Calm Waters Wellness, we’re proud to offer WALK & TALK THERAPY - a unique, somatic-based approach that takes therapy outdoors. Walking side-by-side can:
• Support nervous system regulation
• Reduce anxiety and tension
• Help conversations flow more naturally
• Create a grounding connection to the present moment

This month, The New York Times highlighted the growing interest in somatic therapy and movement-based approaches to healing, reinforcing what many clients are already discovering - sometimes, movement helps us access what words alone cannot.

If you’re curious about trying something different, we invite you to explore Walk & Talk Therapy with one of our highly qualified therapists.

Reach out today to see if this approach feels right for you!

🌿 Healing doesn’t always have to happen sitting still.

Many different techniques fall under the umbrella of “somatic therapy,” which is gaining popularity.
