Five years ago, I was introducing Wings Physiotherapy to our community with a 30-second radio commercial. Looking back now, it’s a reminder of how much can grow from a simple idea and a lot of hard work.

Today, Wings has grown into two clinics, an incredible team, and the privilege of helping hundreds of people regain confidence, reduce pain, and get back to the activities they love.

I’m grateful to every patient, physician, friend, and family member who believed in this vision from the very beginning. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Take action to support AB 2497—because outdated laws are still dictating who can access physical therapy, and patients are paying the price.

If you’ve ever been pregnant, postpartum, or dealing with pelvic pain, leakage, or prolapse, you know how important timely care is. But right now, unnecessary restrictions can delay access to the care you need—just because of who is (or isn’t) recognized as part of your care team.

AB 2497 is about modernizing these laws to reflect how healthcare actually works today—so patients can get the right care, at the right time, without added barriers.

It’s been 7 years since the inspiration for Wings Physiotherapy, left this earth. The name Wings comes from a program that Dr. Emily’s mom started called Women Inspiring and Nurturing Girls to Succeed (WINGS). While we do a little bit more than that now, the inspiration and our values stay the same.
