We are excited to welcome Erin Stilson, NP to our team of providers later this month!

We are excited to announce and welcome the addition Erin Stilson, FNP-BC to the Appleton City Rural Health Clinic!

Erin Stilson is a Family Nurse Practitioner who believes healthcare is about more than treating illnesses—it’s about building relationships, earning trust, and caring for people through every stage of life.

Raised in a small-town environment and proud to call rural Missouri home, Erin understands the values and needs of small communities. She is passionate about providing high-quality healthcare close to home and helping patients feel known, heard, and cared for. Her goal is to build lasting relationships with the individuals and families she serves, caring for multiple generations and becoming a trusted healthcare partner for years to come.

Erin brings more than 17 years of healthcare experience to her role, including 14 years as a registered nurse and several years as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients facing a wide range of health challenges and has developed a deep appreciation for the importance of compassionate, personalized care.

She enjoys helping patients with preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illnesses, and everyday healthcare needs. Erin believes in taking the time to listen, answer questions, and work alongside patients to help them achieve their health goals.

Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, serving in her church, traveling, and making memories with her family. She is excited to join Ellett Memorial Hospital and looks forward to caring for the people of Appleton City and the surrounding communities.

“One of the things I love most about small-town medicine is getting to know people beyond their medical chart. Building relationships and being there for patients and families over the years is what drew me to primary care, and I’m excited to serve this community.”

Erin will begin seeing patients at ACRHC in late June.

We will be closed Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day. Normal clinic operating hours will resume Tuesday, May 26th.

Today is National Healthcare Decisions Day. What is National Healthcare Decisions Day, you might ask? Let us tell you!

National Healthcare Decisions Day (sometimes referred to as NHDD) is an annual initiative to encourage and empower people to begin or continue conversations about their wishes for care through the end of life. NHDD is an initiative to educate people on the importance of advance care planning. It encourages individuals to express their wishes regarding healthcare and for providers and facilities to respect those wishes, whatever they may be.

Through these conversations, patients may be encouraged and empowered to draft documents such as Living Wills, Durable Power of Attorneys, and Advance Directives.

Do you know your specific wishes regarding end of life care? Have you shared those wishes with anyone close to you? Today on National Healthcare Decisions Day, we encourage you to have that conversation with a friend or relative and make sure your wishes are known. The next time you have an appointment with your primary care provider, start that conversation with them as well so your wishes can be a part of your medical records.

Stop by the Appleton City Rural Health Clinic today to discuss Advance Directives and Durable Powers of Attorney with a member of EMH staff. They will be in the ACRHC waiting room from 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 3 pm.
