Our senior living community thrives in a great part due to volunteers who share their time, talents and treasures. This week we welcomed  an incredible hard-working team from Hinnendael, Greene & Associates.  This team stained the fence surrounding our raised bed gardens and converted apartment door handles to a lever style to make them easier to use.  Special thanks to Rebuilding Together for coordinating the visit and to WiscoTilly - Tilly Jones for stopping by to ensure quality control.

Volunteers from Plexus Corp. met at Linwood this week and shared their time and talents staining the fence surrounding our raised bed gardens. Our senior tenants raise produce in the gardens and the fence keeps neighborhood deer and other critters from taste testing our veggies. We are grateful for their community support! Thanks to Volunteer Fox Cities for making the connection between our need and community volunteers.

We are fortunate to have many talented volunteers that support our community with their time and talents. Tenants gathered this afternoon to make “cookies in a jar” as a thank you gift to our volunteer clergy, musicians, guest speakers and gardeners. Special thanks to our tenant Judy Natz who applied for a Thrivent Action Team grant to fund this project.

Our monthly “Visits with Vaya” are always a learning experience. In
May, Olivia Galyon, Appleton Community Development Specialist joined us. As you can see, our canine guest WiscoTilly - Tilly Jones wasn’t as excited about meeting Olivia as the rest of us were.
