Kids R Us Pediatrics is excited to participate in Reach Out and Readโ€™s Rx for Summer Reading campaign beginning today and continuing throughout the week!

This yearโ€™s featured book, Lola Plants a Garden, reminds us that just like a garden, children thrive when they are nurtured with love, encouragement, and opportunities to learn. Reading together helps plant the seeds for healthy brain development, language skills, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning.

At Kids R Us Pediatrics, we believe that growing healthy kids means caring for both their bodies and their minds. Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re proud to partner with Reach Out and Read to help families make reading part of every day.

๐Ÿ“– During the campaign, patients will receive a copy of Lola Plants a Garden while supplies last. We hope youโ€™ll enjoy reading it together and watching your childโ€™s curiosity, confidence, and love of books continue to grow all summer long!

Wishing all of our Kids R Us Pediatrics families a fun, relaxing, and safe Independence Day weekend!

Just a friendly reminder that our office will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the holiday. Weโ€™ll be back to our regular office hours on Monday.

Whether youโ€™re heading to the lake, firing up the grill, enjoying fireworks, or simply spending time with family and friends, we hope you make lots of great memories. Please remember to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, keep a close eye on little ones around water and fireworks.

This week weโ€™re celebrating the amazing nurses in our office and all the care, patience, and comfort they provide to our patients and families every day. Whether itโ€™s calming nervous kiddos, answering endless questions, or helping parents feel a little more at ease, our nurses do so much behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly.

๐Ÿ“ฃ ๐ŸŽ‰ We are excited to announce that Randi Countryman will be joining our practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner beginning February 2!

Randi is a graduate of Arab High School and earned her Bachelor degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University. She worked in the NICU at Children's of Alabama for over three years while completing her Master's degree as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through UAB.

Randi and her husband, Brayden, have a 5-month old son, Tate, and a golden retriever named Honey. They enjoy spending time with their family and trips to the lake and the beach.

Good evening!

Roads are very wet after all of the rain. With temps dropping and expected to be in the teens tonight, we anticipate roads being very icy in the morning.

We do not want to risk anyone's safety, therefore we are going to delay opening until noon tomorrow and will re-evaluate road conditions mid-morning as to whether we can safely open or if we will remain closed all day.

We will be reaching out to re-schedule all affected appointments.
