๐ข Public Notice to Our Communities:
Iron County Sheltered Workshop Thrift Store
The Iron County Sheltered Workshop Thrift Store will be closed Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, as we reorganize our store and prepare for important operational changes.
We will reopen on Monday, July 27, during our regular business hours.
While our thrift store will be closed, our recycling program will remain open. We will continue accepting recyclable materials and operating our regular recycling truck routes throughout the week.
New Donation Procedures Beginning July 27
Effective Monday, July 27, all donations will be accepted only during our regular business hours. Every donation will be reviewed by our supervisors and staff before it is accepted.
To better serve our mission, we will only accept items that are:
* Clean
* In good, usable condition
* Safe to handle
* Appropriate for resale in our thrift store
These changes are necessary to improve our operations, reduce waste, and ensure we can continue providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Most importantly, the safety of the individuals we serve is our highest priority. Unfortunately, we occasionally receive donations that contain broken glass, hazardous materials, sharp objects, soiled items, chemicals, or other unsafe contents that can pose a risk to our employees with disabilities. By screening donations before they are accepted, we can help provide a safer working environment while continuing to offer quality merchandise to our customers.
We understand that this is a change for our communities, and we sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we implement these new procedures. Your generosity has always been an important part of our success, and these changes are being made to ensure the long-term strength of the Iron County Sheltered Workshop and the services we provide.
If you have any questions regarding these changes, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your continued support of our mission and for helping us create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
If questions are needed and answered?
Please direct all to me personally,
