God hath not promised skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through, God hath not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow, peace without pain. But God hath promised strength for the day, Rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above, Unfailing sympathy, and undying love.

Obituary for Montana “Monte” Dean Faulkner
Montana “Monte” Dean Faulkner, age 59, of Chatham, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026.
Born on December 15, 1966, to Eugene and Norma Jean Faulkner, Monte lived a life defined by hard work, mechanical ingenuity, and a deep love for his family and community.
Monte spent much of his life traveling for work on the pipeline, where he earned a reputation as a master mechanic and skilled pipeliner. Known as a true “jack of all trades,” he possessed an exceptional ability to fix, rebuild, or troubleshoot just about anything. Throughout his career, he contributed his talents to projects ranging from gold mines to barges, forming lasting friendships along the way. Monte was always willing to share his knowledge, instill a strong work ethic, and brighten the day with his signature sense of humor.
Above all, Monte was a devoted husband, father, and proud “Paw-Paw.” He cherished time spent outdoors—whether horseback riding, relaxing by the pool, fishing, riding motorcycles, or working in his home shop. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family and creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Norma Jean Faulkner; his brother Mark Faulkner; and his sister, Pam Faulkner.
Monte leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 42 years, Stacy Faulkner; his children, BreAnna, Quyncie, and Justin Faulkner; and his beloved grandchildren, Aiden, Addison, and Justice Faulkner. He is also survived by his sister, Charleen (Dino) Wise; his brothers, Jimmy (Kelly) Faulkner, Steven (Janell) Faulkner, and Danny (Connie) Faulkner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends within the close-knit pipeline community.
