The physical exam is still very important. We can improve it with the use of new tools. There are many of them. This video shows how I carry them with me in my daily practice of medicine. If we don't learn to use them, they become more of a nuisance than a help. I started medical school in 1997 and graduated in 2003. I was never trained in how to use new technologies in primary care. I did my residency in 2010 and did not receive training to use new tools either. Every place I've worked gave me the same old tools. Many new tasks, but with the same old tools. For many primary care physicians, keeping up with the workload has led to burnout. I think that taking advantage of new technologies is part of the solution. So who is going to train the old and new generations of medical professionals to use what we already have available?
