APEX Brain Centers Build a Better Brain, Live a Better Life vision, hearing, smell, touch, proprioception, etc.). Dr. Michael S. Trayford - Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist

Research over the past several decades has clearly demonstrated that two critical components of success with regard to the brain’s ability to learn and grow throughout life, termed neuroplasticity, are the frequency and intensity at which the brain is stimulated via the body’s various sensory systems (i.e. APEX Brain Centers has combined these critical components into a revolutionary, boot camp st

yle Brain Training program that will assist the individual in meeting functional gains that would typically take months to years to realize in a traditional clinical setting in just a matter of days to weeks! By combining multiple research-based, cutting edge Brain Training modalities in this unique ‘rapid-fire’ approach, continuously directed and customized by objective neurological testing data, we are able to more effectively address the underlying brain dysfunction in adults with learning and behavioral challenges, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions; as well as enhancing athletic, academic and artistic performance in those looking to elevate their current level of brain and body function.

He's also one of our most engaged followers online since he nearly lost his life in a motor vehicle crash years ago. He is one of the most persistently positive and hopeful people on the planet.
🧠
Know that he is actively rooting for everyone else out there who is dealing with brain injury.
🧠
Here, he and his mother Crystal share the story of the accident that changed his life. They hope that his story will inspire others to live life to the fullest and understand the power of 🧡💙🙌

The brain develops in a specific sequence—and when that sequence is disrupted by an injury early in life, every milestone that follows can be affected.
🧠
Zoe was diagnosed with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and hydrocephalus, but she continues to show incredible determination and meaningful progress. 💙 This is just the beginning of her story, and we can't wait to share more of her journey in the weeks ahead.
🧠
In this video, Dr. Zaremba demonstrates vestibular therapy while explaining why head and neck extension and postural control are so important. These early developmental patterns provide essential sensory input that helps shape balance, vision, coordination, communication, and overall brain development.
🧠
For infants with neurological injuries, rehabilitation isn't simply about building strength—it's about giving the brain another opportunity to develop the foundational skills it needs. That's why we take a developmental approach to care, helping the brain revisit and strengthen these critical building blocks through targeted, neuroscience-based rehabilitation.
🧠
Every milestone matters. Every connection matters. And every new achievement is another step toward helping a child reach their fullest potential.
Stay tuned—Zoe has already made some remarkable gains, and we're excited to share more of her progress soon. ❤️

💙🧡Brain Injury Recovery can be a long journey. For many the impacts are lifelong and the rehab process becomes part of life. There are so many fantastic, evidence based ways to affect the nervous system.
👀🧠
Oftentimes the impact is limited because the approach...how much, how often, under what conditions...is suboptimal. The brain is sensitive and needs the right approach to gain lasting, neurolastic changes. To harness the power of neuroplasticity is to deeply understand the science of 🧠Functional Connecticity.

We are so honored to witness this incredible progress. After dedicated sensory processing and communication therapy, this young boy is truly thriving. His mom shared how he’s playing and connecting more with his siblings, and his smiles say it all. As the doctor noted, these improvements aren’t just small steps—they're transforming his quality of life. We’re so grateful to be part of this journey.

🚨 First, we want to say this clearly: emergency departments are an essential part of our healthcare system. We have tremendous respect for ER physicians, nurses, and first responders who show up every day to handle life-threatening situations. Many of our patients are here today because emergency teams acted quickly and saved their lives after serious accidents and injuries.

At the same time… a head injury doesn’t always end when the CT scan is clear and the patient is sent home.

For many people, the hardest part comes afterward.

The headaches.
The dizziness.
The brain fog.
The anxiety.
The vision changes.
The feeling that “something just isn’t right.”

And too often, people are left wondering why they still don’t feel like themselves weeks, months, or even years later.

This isn’t about blaming emergency care — it’s about increasing awareness.

As we learn more about the complexity of brain injuries, we can help patients, families, and healthcare teams recognize that neurological recovery requires more than just ruling out a bleed or a fracture.

A normal scan does not always mean a normal brain.

The more educated we become about what to look for after a head injury, the better we can support people on their path to recovery.

If you’ve ever felt like your symptoms after a concussion or head injury were overlooked, you’re not alone.

🧠 Better awareness leads to better care.

“When I got the call, I didn't know if he was going to survive.”

For many families affected by traumatic brain injury, life changes in an instant.

In the immediate aftermath of a serious accident, caregivers are often thrust into a role they never expected to have—advocate, supporter, decision-maker, and source of hope during some of the darkest moments imaginable.

This wife shares the fear, uncertainty, and overwhelming emotions she experienced after nearly losing her husband. Today, his story looks very different. Through determination, intensive rehabilitation, and the unwavering support of those who stood beside him, he continues to make remarkable progress in his recovery journey.

While we often focus on the individual recovering from a brain injury, it's important to recognize the incredible impact that caregivers and family members have on the healing process. Their encouragement, sacrifices, resilience, and belief in recovery can make all the difference.

To every spouse, parent, sibling, child, and friend walking alongside a loved one through brain injury recovery: your role matters more than you know. ❤️
