This month, we are proud to spotlight Lynn Wimmer, DVM of Carroll County Veterinary Clinic in Westminster, MD.

Lynn purchased CCVC in 2005 and has built something truly special, a practice rooted in family, community, and a deep love for animals. She graduated from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2000, and in a full circle moment, both of her daughters are now pursuing veterinary careers at the same school.

When she is not caring for patients, Lynn enjoys trail riding and gardening, and shares her home with dogs, cats, horses, and a few barn ducks.

On Memorial Day, we remember those who served and the partners who served beside them.

Military and police K-9s have stood post, tracked through danger, and carried their handlers through moments most people will never see. Their service is real. Their sacrifices are real. And for the handlers who lost them, the bond never fades.

Today, we honor every fallen service member and every K-9 who walked beside them.

A closer look at the composition of AlphaFlo®.

AlphaFlo® is a liquid, cryopreserved, acellular canine amniotic tissue allograft. The biologically active factors listed here (A*M, IL-1ra, TIMP-2, MCP-1, VEGF, exosomes, and extracellular matrix proteins) are naturally found in amniotic tissue.

Cryopreservation is used to help maintain these factors in their native state, which is a meaningful difference from lyophilized (powdered) amnion products that undergo dehydration during processing.

For clinicians comparing amniotic tissue options, composition and preservation method are both worth evaluating.
