😴 Does Your Child Snore?
Many parents are surprised to learn that regular snoring is not always normal in children.
If your child snores frequently, breathes through their mouth while sleeping, tosses and turns throughout the night, sweats excessively during sleep, or seems to pause breathing, it could be a sign of pediatric sleep apnea.
Sleep-disordered breathing is more common than many people realize and can affect children as young as 2 years old.
Left untreated, sleep apnea may contribute to:
🛏️ Poor sleep quality
📚 Difficulty concentrating
⚡ Hyperactivity and behavioral concerns
💧 Bed-wetting
📈 Growth and development issues
At Argyle Pediatric Dentistry, we evaluate the airway as part of your child's oral health and growth. If we identify concerns, we may recommend further evaluation with an ENT specialist or other healthcare provider.
A good night's sleep is important for a healthy smile and a healthy child.
