It's National Catfish Day, and we can't think of a better time to relive the highlights of our last fishing adventure! 🎣🐟

NATIONAL CATFISH DAY HISTORY
In 1987, President Ronald Reagan designated June 25 as National Catfish Day by Presidential Proclamation after Congress called for the day to be established by Joint Resolution 178.

We are excited to be part of a very special project in the coming days. We will be hosting Claret Alcalá Collins and her storytelling initiative.

This project is dedicated to capturing authentic stories, memories, and life experiences in a style similar to Humans of New York. We are currently seeking residents and family members who would be willing to volunteer to share their personal stories and experiences.

Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on meaningful moments, family history, accomplishments, challenges, and the people and events that have shaped their lives. Our goal is to preserve these stories while celebrating the unique individuals who make our community so special.

To help tell these stories more fully, we also invite family members to share old photographs or meaningful images following the interview. Photos may be submitted by text message or email and can provide valuable context, helping bring treasured memories to life.

If you or your loved one would like to participate, please let us know. We would be honored to help preserve and share your story.

We planned for a Water Day, but Mother Nature had plans of her own! 🌧️ While the rain has put a damper on our outdoor fun for now, the celebration continues. Once the skies clear, we'll see who is brave enough to take on the water slide! 💦

Until then, we're enjoying hamburgers, hot dogs, and plenty of treats as we celebrate our amazing CNAs and all they do each day. Thank you for your hard work, compassion, and dedication! ❤️
