St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened in 1962 and was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas. The mission of ALSAC/St.

Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world. Jude is to raise awareness and funds to support the life saving efforts being done at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the world's premiere research and treatment center for children with catastrophic illnesses.

Celebrating New Psalmist Baptist Church 💛

Since early 2025, New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore has exemplified what it means to put faith into action through their unwavering support of St. Jude. Their dedication has helped raise over $15,000 at the St. Jude Walk 2025, more than $22,000 at this year’s Hope in the Harbor, and an incredible $26,000 through their Sunday of Hope—creating a meaningful impact for children and families facing childhood cancer.

We’re especially grateful for First Lady Jarrette Thomas for her leadership and service on the DMV Advisory Council, as well as her personal commitment to events like the St. Jude Walk.
