✨ **ADHD can feel like glitter everywhere.**

Thoughts moving fast. Big emotions. Energy that seems endless. Attention that doesn't always stay where you want it.

For some children, that's what everyday life can feel like.

But here's what I want every parent, educator, and child to understand:

💗 **The goal isn't to “fix” the child. It's to help them discover what helps.**

That's the heart behind *The Feelings Map™: Jovie's Glitter.*

Through Jovie's story, we're creating space for children to recognize their emotions, feel understood, and discover strategies that work for them.

Because every child deserves to feel seen, included, and empowered. 💙

October is both Depression Awareness Month and ADHD Awareness Month — and those conversations don’t always look the same.
Milo helped us talk about feelings that can feel heavy: sadness, isolation, asking for help, and finding support.
But not every child experiences big feelings the same way.
Sometimes thoughts, emotions, energy, and attention can feel like glitter everywhere.
That’s where Jovie’s story begins. ✨
The Feelings Map™: Jovie’s Glitter explores ADHD-related feelings, emotional literacy, friendship, support, and discovering what helps.

Milo helped us talk about what happens when feelings get heavy.
Big feelings. Feeling alone. Asking for help. Finding support.
But Milo isn’t the only child trying to understand what’s happening inside.
And not every child experiences big feelings the same way.
Some feelings feel heavy.
Some feel like they’re moving everywhere at once.
That’s where our next story begins.
Next week, Milo is introducing us to someone new. ✨
Stay close.

You may already have health insurance, life insurance, savings, benefits through work, an emergency fund, or some kind of income protection.
So the question may not be whether you have anything in place.
The bigger question is:
Do those protection pieces actually work together for your household?
Having coverage is one thing. Understanding how it all fits together is another.
That’s what the Family Protection Snapshot is designed to help you see more clearly:
- what appears to already be in place
- what may need attention
- what the next appropriate step could be
No pressure. No assumption that you need another product.
Just a clearer picture of where your household stands.

Mental health benefits are benefits, too.

When you review your health plan, don’t stop at the premium and deductible.
Take a closer look at what support actually looks like if you need it.
That can include:
- therapy or counseling coverage
- behavioral health providers
- virtual mental health options
- prescription coverage
- employee assistance programs

A plan can look affordable on paper and still create barriers if the care you need is out of network, limited, hard to access, or expensive to use.
Your mental health belongs in the benefits conversation.

Before you enroll, ask yourself:
“If I needed support this year, how would this plan help me get it?”
That question can tell you a lot.

Sometimes “I’m fine” really does mean I’m okay.

And sometimes it means:

“I don’t know how to explain what I’m feeling.”
“I don’t want to worry anybody.”
“I don’t think anyone will understand.”
Or even…
“I don’t have the words for this yet.”

That last one matters.

Emotional literacy isn’t about always having the perfect words. It’s about recognizing what you’re feeling and having language to communicate it.

During Depression Awareness Month, we’re making room for conversations about depression, support, and noticing when feelings are becoming heavy.

Because support should come before life gets heavy.

What feeling do you think is hardest to put into words?

Protection isn’t one thing.
Most households already have a few pieces in place — maybe health insurance, life insurance, savings, workplace benefits, an emergency fund, or some form of income protection.
The bigger question is:
Do those pieces actually work together for your household?
Having coverage is not always the same as having a coordinated protection plan.
Protection is about the bigger picture. Knowing what you have is the first step toward understanding what may still need attention.
Save this for your next family financial check-in.

Tonight, we’re taking the overwhelm out of Open Enrollment.
Choosing benefits shouldn’t feel like staring at a bunch of premiums, deductibles, copays, and acronyms hoping you picked the right one.
Tonight, we’re slowing it down and talking about what actually matters when you’re choosing coverage for yourself and your family.
We’ll talk about how to look beyond the monthly premium and consider:
• what you’ll actually pay when you use your benefits
• how your doctors, prescriptions, and mental health care fit into the decision
• the trade-offs between different plan options
• questions to ask before you click Enroll
The goal isn’t to tell you which plan to choose.
It’s to help you understand how to choose.
