Why Gardening Helps Grief……..

Did you know gardening can help support emotional healing during grief?

Nature has a way of slowing us down. The simple act of touching soil, planting seeds, watering flowers, and sitting outdoors can calm the nervous system and create emotional space to breathe again.

There was something special about that Saturday in March when I attended the Garden Experience with The Gardener Johnny. 🌿

Life can become so loud, rushed, and emotionally heavy, but stepping into the garden felt like stepping into peace. The fresh air, the beauty of nature, the sound of life growing all around me, it was more than relaxing… it was healing.

For a few hours, I was reminded that growth takes time, healing happens in seasons, and even what appears dormant can bloom again.

Time spent in the garden was about allowing nature to minister to places within me that words sometimes cannot reach.

Sometimes healing doesn’t just happen in a counseling office or a conference room.

Sometimes it happens in a garden. 🌱✨

Hey there!

I have a special announcement just for YOU!

Did you know that healing takes time…just like a garden?

After loss, many people feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Just like a garden requires patience, care, nurturing, and time to bloom, healing from the pain of grief does too.

That is why we intentionally created a healing experience for those carrying the weight of grief, a space where hurting hearts can slow down, breathe deeply, and begin nurturing hope again.

‘Grief and Gardening’ is more than an event, it is a safe space to breathe, reflect, release, and reconnect with hope. Through nature, community, and meaningful moments of restoration, we invite you to tend to the parts of yourself that may have been neglected while surviving grief.

Sometimes healing begins with something as simple as planting a seed and believing growth is still possible.

Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a life transition, or simply carrying the weight of emotional pain, this experience was created with you in mind. 🌱

ANNOUNCEMENT!

In 2020, I was grieving one of the deepest losses of my life, the death of my best friend, Adelia Kirk. As I entered the church doors to bury her, I encountered a young prophet named Devontai Gaines. He spoke a word from the Lord to me that I never forgot. He said: “I don’t know you, but the Lord has earmarked you and has a word for you. You are a Harriet Tubman, pulling people out of darkness into the light.” Then he began to prophesy what God had shown him concerning me.

At the time, I did not fully comprehend the magnitude of those words. But today, I am living them out. Through grief counseling, Inner Healing & Deliverance, teaching, and helping people confront hidden pain, trauma, bo***ge, and emotional wounds, I now understand what God was revealing.

Healing became my “yes.”

And my “yes” became ministry.

I give all glory to God for allowing my pain to become purpose, my healing to become ministry, and my journey to become a bridge for others seeking freedom: spirit, soul, and body.
