NCTR was proud to sponsor the annual Larry Roberts Golf for Recovery Tournament.

Hosted each year by the Journey House Foundation, this event is a powerful reminder of what recovery looks like when a community comes together.

Community partners, patients in recovery, staff, friends, and supporters gathered on the green to celebrate Larry’s life, honor his legacy, and lift up the ongoing journey of recovery.

We are grateful to stand alongside Journey House Foundation and so many others who believe in second chances, connection, and hope.

Behind every recovery story is a person who chose to keep going.

Johan gives us a glimpse into his journey with National Capital Treatment & Recovery. But this is only part of the story.

His full message is honest, powerful, and worth hearing. It reminds us why recovery matters, why support matters, and why no one should have to walk this path alone.

Recovery’s Got Talent was an incredible night of courage, creativity, and community.

Hosted by A’dia Stanley-Moore, District 10 Senior Probation Officer, and Meredith Westbrook, NCTR, the event brought together clients and staff for a powerful celebration of recovery.

Thank you to Arlington OAR, District 10 Probation & Parole, and NCTR for sponsoring such a meaningful and successful event. We had an amazing turnout, and the energy in the room made it clear just how important these moments are.

A special thank you to the 15 talented NCTR and Arlington DOC clients who performed. Each person who stepped forward reminded us that recovery is not only about hard work. It is also about confidence, connection, expression, and being seen.

Recovery’s Got Talent gave us the chance to highlight individuals who show up every day on their path to recovery, while creating space for staff to support them beyond our everyday roles and have some fun along the way.

The VCU Research to Recovery Conference was a hit!

Over the course of two incredible days, our team had the opportunity to connect, learn, partner, and grow alongside others who share the same mission: helping people, strengthening communities, and making the world a better place.

Events like this remind us that recovery is never the work of one person or one organization. It takes a village. And every conversation, every partnership, and every shared idea helps expand that village for the individuals and families who need it most.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this conference such a meaningful experience. We’re grateful to be part of this important work.

NCTR was proud to have Jacob Parcell present as Governor Abigail Spanberger signed HB1282 into law.

Here’s why this matters.
Virginia needs more qualified professionals working in substance use treatment and recovery. HB1282 helps address that need by creating a direct path for experienced substance abuse treatment professionals to become licensed through endorsement.

This means more support for the workforce, greater access to care, and more help for individuals and families who need it.

At National Capital Treatment & Recovery, we see every day how much this work matters. We’re grateful to see Virginia taking steps that strengthen the treatment field and support the people doing this life-changing work.

Inspiring hope. Supporting recovery. Strengthening communities.
