Happy heavenly birthday to one of my most favorite people ever! Not a day goes by I don’t think about your sweet soul. I hope you are having all the frosted Dr Peppers and fried chicken you can get your hands on. I still talk to you all the time and can’t wait to see you again some day. I sure miss you and am thankful I got to be a small part of your life.

UPDATE: Services for sweet Doris will be postponed due to weather (broken pipes) at the Wade funeral home and COVID restrictions. Hopefully in the spring a service will be scheduled to honor her life and legacy. I will update this post as information on her memorial becomes available. Thank you to everyone for your prayers for her family and for me, they are felt and appreciated. Dr. Dow

It is with a very heavy and broken heart that I need to let all of our patients know that sweet Doris passed away peacefully in her sleep early this morning. I ask for prayers for her kids and her grandkids, and especially her sweet husband as they were joined at the hip. She was my person and I don’t know what I did to deserve her love, her kindness, and her commitment to me for 22+ years but I am certainly grateful for it!! She was my partner in crime and the one that I could always count on! She was as sweet as the day was long but you had better be nice or you would end up on the list (💩)!! I loved her dearly and the heaven is most certainly be a better place because she is there now and moving well. I hope you are eating all of the Gus’s fried chicken and Dr. Pepper you can get your hands on! She loved sweet tea and yellow roses and most of all a good margarita or an ice cold beer! The mark she left in this world will be find the good in everything and everyone! She loved her kids and she loved her grandkids and she loved her husband and she loved the patients of our practice.
I will update this post as arrangements become available to me.

Prayers of comfort for her family and for me as she was my person and I will miss her so much my heart is so broken.

Dear Chiropractic Family,

As I reflect over the last 25 plus years I have been blessed to take care of each and everyone of you, I am reminded of the commitment that so many of you have made to my practice and the trust you have placed in me. Over the years, many of you have followed me to three offices, watched me start a practice, have kids, and enjoy the family that I have today. You all have become my extended family.

The past few years have been difficult for me as I have been battling many health problems. It is the deepest sadness that I regret to inform you that I will be retiring as of July 16, 2020. I'm not sure what this new chapter in my life will bring, but I do know that taking care of myself and my family will be a top priority.

We are cleaning up our xray files and if we have xrays/imaging for you in our office it will be available for pick up until July 16, 2020. You may call the office and inquire if we have your file. After the 16th of July your xray files will be purged.

I truly hope I have educated each one of you enough to believe that chiropractic is bigger than just me and following through and getting your adjustment is part of a healthy lifestyle that I would love for you to maintain. My wish for all of you is that you will continue to enjoy your chiropractic care. I will be transferring all of my active files to Dr. Charles Lane here in North Arlington. I have known Dr. Lane for years and he is my chiropractor too. I feel everyone here is in good hands.

This is a message from Parker University’s president please keep them in your prayers and hope they get back on their feet very soon the tornadoes have hit the school and closed it down for bit......

A message from Parker University’s president, William E. Morgan, DC:
Dear Parker Family,
Last night, October 20, 2019, Parker University was directly hit by a tornado. While no one was injured, the main campus sustained enough damage to be closed for the next week and possibly longer.
While we have closed the campus due to safety concerns, we are preparing to have classroom space available in the very near future. Some of the classrooms may be temporarily off-campus. Parker has a strong online presence and will increase the percentage of online classes and support systems as we repair our campus buildings.
Our staff will be working from home for the immediate future. Please stay in touch with your managers and keep the communication at a high level.
While much of the campus was damaged, our clinic sustained only minor damage. The Synapse Human Performance Center is totally intact. I expect those clinics to be operational within a week or two depending on when power is restored.
On my way home from the university last night, I was praying a prayer of thanksgiving to God. I was so grateful that this tornado hit us at a time when no students or faculty were on campus. Buildings can be rebuilt.
Please join me in giving thanks that no one was injured and that the damage was not more severe. Our Parker family is resilient and strong, so I know that you will be able to adapt to the changes we will experience over the next few weeks.
