Michael Burns has always embraced new challenges. Before joining AOA Orthopedic Specialists, he served in the U.S. Army, worked in physical therapy, became a licensed athletic trainer, and traveled the country supporting sports teams before building a career in orthopedic clinical care. Nearly seven years ago, Michael joined Orthopedic Associate's Flower Mound clinic, where he worked alongside a foot and ankle specialist, balancing clinic and surgical responsibilities while expanding his orthopedic expertise. Along the way, he also invested in learning the business side of healthcare, collaborating with teams across the organization and preparing for a leadership role. In 2025, that dedication led Michael to become Practice Manager at AOA Irving. Today, he oversees daily clinic operations, supports providers, and helps lead key initiatives, including the transition to Epic and the continued growth of AOA Orthopedic Specialists. What Michael values most is being part of an organization that continues to grow, innovate, and invest in its people while maintaining the close-knit culture of a local practice. Outside of work, he's a proud father of 23-year-old quadruplets, is pursuing his MBA, and is excited to become a grandfather. Michael's journey is a testament to the opportunities that exist at AOA.
