Meet the Facilitators: Awo Fagundare

Awo Fagundare (Ron Camacho) is an initiated Ifá priest, traditional medicine practitioner, and educator whose work is rooted in ancestral knowledge and the relationships between people, spirit, and the land. His practice includes Ifá divination, herbal medicine, ceremony, and spiritual guidance, with an emphasis on healing, re-membering, and the cultivation of good character. His background in mental health and depth psychology informs his work while Indigenous knowledge and traditional ways of healing remain its foundation. He is the founder of Bohío de Medicina Indígena, an initiative dedicated to Indigenous healing, cultural preservation, and stewardship of the lands and waters of Borikén (Puerto Rico). His current focus explores the psychology of Ifá, centering Indigenous understandings of consciousness, identity, and the human experience. Through teaching and consultation, he shares Ifá as a living tradition that strengthens ancestral connection, right relationship with nature, and offers practical guidance for everyday life.

Meet the Facilitators: Awo Fajelela Ogungbemi Ogunyele KawoOrila Fatumnbi

I was born and raised in lower 9th Ward, East New Orleans, Louisiana. I move to Dallas, Texas where I was introduced to Ifa in 2016.

That journey into Ifa has lead to several initiations that are changing my life. In 2023, I became an Egungun priest then an Orisha devotee of Shango and Ifa a few years later.

I am also a published author of over 10 books focused on our spiritual elevation through Odu Ifa and Astrology. I am a spiritual advisor, a student of Psychology, Astrology, and Metaphysics but overall, I enjoy helping people address childhood trauma, learning to operate in their own authenticity, and realizing internal balance through self actualization.

My daily work in Ifa is another example of walking in my destiny.
My name is Awo Fajelela Ogungbemi Ogunyele KawoOrila Fatumnbi

We won a **Best of Dallas** award! 🖤✨

Dallas Observer named Hearth Wisdom "Best Shop for Hex Materials" for 2026!! And yes, the category made us smile. 😂

But also… they’re not wrong.

Need something for protection? We’ve got you.
Cleansing? Yep.
Love, prosperity, divination, ancestor work, spellcraft, reversal work or something with a little more bite?
Also yes. 😏

What we especially appreciate about the recognition is that the write-up saw more of what Hearth Wisdom has grown into over the years: not simply a place to buy spiritual supplies, but a place to learn, explore, practice and get curious.

There are our classes and workshops. Our growing virtual Hearth Wisdom Library. Tarot, herbs, candles, crystals, and ritual tools. Community events. Original products created right here at Hearth - including our beloved Strawberry S*x Magic, which apparently continues to prove that y’all appreciate magic of *many* varieties. 🍓😂

For more than a decade, our goal has been to create a place where ancient practices, modern seekers, education, curiosity, and community can meet.
Our store reflects the diverse needs and interests of our clients. Sometimes the work is healing. Other times it’s manifesting. Sometimes it’s protection or even attraction.
…and sometimes the magic needs teeth. 😉

Thank you, Dallas Observer, for including Hearth Wisdom in Best of Dallas 2026, and thank you to the community that has continued to learn, practice, shop, gather, and grow with us.

Come for the hex supplies. Stay for the wisdom. 🖤
